Yeah. As if he'd actually come clean!

John Edwards has pled not guilty to the six felony charges he's currently facing, which include conspiracy, false statements, and campaign law violations!

In a statement given outside a Federal Court in North Carolina, the presidential candidate said:

“There’s no question that I’ve done wrong and I take full responsibility for having done wrong. And I will regret for the rest of my life the pain and the harm that I have caused to others but I did not break the law and I have never, ever thought I was breaking the law.”

As of now, the judge set no bail for him, and Edwards was released on his own recognizance. He has to surrender his passport, and is restricted to traveling in just the states. He also must stay away from Bunny Mellon, the 100-year-old who allegedly gave him the big bucks to cover up his affair with Rielle Hunter.

As the indicment reads:

"Edwards knew that public revelation of the affair and pregnancy would destroy his candidacy by, among other things, undermining Edwards' presentation of himself as a family man and by forcing his campaign to divert personnel and resources away from other campaign activities to respond to criticism and media scrutiny.”

Unbelievable.

We think it's pretty clear that this man is capable of doing some pretty heinous, deplorable things, so forgive us if we're less than prone to believe that he is guiltless in this matter!

He had it coming!

This morning, after two years of debate and investigation, a federal jury moved to indict two-time presidential candidate John Edwards over the mass amount of money his campaign spent on hiding his mistress during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Edwards was charged on six counts, including conspiracy, four counts of illegal campaign contributions and one count of false statements.

And thus, another political career has come to an end. Maybe now he'll concentrate on being a father since he doesn't have to worry about being a politician anymore.

As we said before, actions have consequences, John.

Last we heard from John Edwards, we learned that he was going to be indicted for "alleged campaign law violations" resulting from his affair cover-up with Rielle Hunter.

Looks like Edwards' downward spiral continues, because he's reportedly been DUMPED by Hunter.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"[She] dumped him…their relationship is pretty much over…there's no repairing it now."

According to the source, the dumping took place mere days before Edwards' indictment.

Ah well. You've got A LOT on your plate anyway, John. We're thinking your focus right now should be preparing for the trial…unless you're gonna go for a plea bargain, that is.

Actions have consequences, John. Just ask Arnold…

As a reminder, back in February, John Edwards found himself testifying in court over a sex tape with his former mistress Rielle Hunter.

Then last week, we heard that John "took his anger and frustrations out on Rielle" after learning that parts of his testimony would be made public.

NOW, we've learned that John Edwards is going to be indicted for "alleged campaign law violations" resulting from his affair cover-up with Rielle.

No word yet on whether Edwards will go to trial or accept a plea bargain, but he's reportedly "weighing his options."

If this goes to trial, it looks like Andrew Young will be the government's star witness. Young was a staffer who originally took the blame for Edwards' actions, until the man finally fessed up and told the truth.

This could DEFINITELY get ugly…or uglier, we should say!

Hopefully the cautionary tales of John Edwards and Arnold Schwarzenegger will dissuade celebs, and people in general, from having scandalous affairs and trying to cover them up in the future!

Did you really think this was a good idea, John???

Back in February, John Edwards found himself testifying in court over a sex tape with his former mistress Rielle Hunter, and NOW we're hearing that he "took his anger and frustrations out on Rielle" after learning that parts of his testimony will be made public.

Here's what a source had to say about John's outburst against Rielle:

"He screamed at Rielle, calling her an idiot for not destroying the tape, and yelling that she made a fool of him for talking him into making it. Rielle was in tears, and tried to apologize, but John didn't care."

"John was shocked with the judge's decision. His worst nightmare is that the tape will get on the internet, and destroy what little reputation he has left."

Bravo, John! Turn your former mistress against you as well. Strategic move…

You should never have made the tape in the first place, John. Then again, you should have never had the affair in the first place…or at the very least, you should have been honest about it right away.

Looks like John Edwards recently testified in a hearing about a sex tape with his mistress Rielle Hunter.

"An attorney for a former Edwards' aide Robert Elliot said Edwards was deposed last week as part of the ongoing legal war between former Edwards loyalist and Edwards baby mamma Rielle Hunter."

The former loyalist, Young, is being sued by Hunter to reclaim all her shizz, including the infamous sex tape that is said to depict Edwards and her affair.

The source says:

"Young has admitted previously that he helped cover up the affair in his best-selling book The Politician and maintains the VHS tape was found amidst trash Hunter had left behind in a home he was renting for the former Edwards presidential campaign videographer."

It'll be pret-ty inneresting to see what goes down!! We're sure more info will find its way out sooner or later!

They've been ready for awhile, but their gearing up to finally pull the trigger.

After almost two years of investigation, the Feds think they finally have enough information proving John Edwards used campaign funds to hide his extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter to indict him.

Sources are reporting that this morning, additional subpoenas were issued in the case requesting e-mails, records and other material belonging to more than two dozen individuals and organizations with connection to the disgraced Senator. Among those given subpoenas were people in charge of John's nonprofit organization (he may have laundered money donated for use in the cover-up), his former campaign manager Nick Baldick, and the Alliance for a New America LLC. Federal records show that about $3.3 million of the $4.8 million raised by the 527 was distributed to AFNA LLC for unspecified "consulting services." What's that about?

On the political end of things, North Carolina's senators have reached out President Barack Obama and asked that he delay replacing George Holding, the U.S. attorney in Raleigh, as he is heading the investigation.

Everyone is stepping up their game, John. Even the Prez is getting involved. We sure hope you know what you've gotten yourself into.

Although The National Enquirer is reporting that John Edwards recently proposed to mistress Rielle Hunter, only weeks after the death of his wife, Elizabeth Edwards, a spokesperson for the family has revealed:

“I can tell you that it’s not true.”

We certainly hope it's not!

To be honest, we wouldn't be surprised if they are, but either way, their relationship is pretty foul!
