Thankfully, the backlash sparked a response from the Academy saying they will double the number of women and "diverse" members by 2020.
While Whoopi Goldberg already talked about the issue on The View last week, the 60-year-old actress talked a bit about the Academy's recent response on her show yesterday, as well as claims of them being "racist."
