This is soooooooooo much better than his first single, Who Says!!!!!

The rumored second single, off John Mayer's upcoming album has surfaced and we really like it.

Unlike the sparse and "cute" first single, this Heartbreak Warfare takes you on much more of a sonic and emotional journey.

Sure, it sounds like a U2 ripoff, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!

The cover of John Mayer's latest album, Battle Studies, has just been released.

The birthday boy denies that he made some face time with a gay guy in Palm Springs last weekend, but his face here looks a little fresh and fem, if you catch what we're saying.

Our lips don't lie! We know the truth!

According to John Mayer and his incessant tweets, he did not kiss a boy this past weekend!

"Rumor check: went to gay bar in Palm Springs, yes. Had a blast. Danced my face off. Someone there planted a kiss on me? No."

That's unfortunate! We hate to be the only one to bear the man make-out burden!

He continued, "I don't like the story painting gays as unable to control themselves. Found the crowd even more respectful than in a straight club. You know who the most flamboyant crowd is? Straight, drunk girls. They're like a bunch of little Charles Nelson Reillys."

And what's gayer than that reference?!

This is getting ridiculous! It's like Jennifer Aniston is confusing her life with her famous TV show Friends and is attempting to prolong this will they/ won't they relationship with John Mayer for another few seasons years.

We can't take 10 years of this!!! We won't!!!

Sources are saying the tragic dynamic duo are at it again, giving their whirlwind romance another go. While you would think that it would be John rekindling the relationship to get in with A-list contacts and promote his new album, the sources close to the couple say that it is Maniston that wants to get their love back on track. The insider says:

"He really got to her, and she's hooked on him. She just can't let go…There's something about John that she just can't resist."

Excuse us while we reach under our seat for our barf bag!

We don't see anything good coming from the two of them getting back together. Just more heartache for Jen and more crappy, sappy, stoner love songs from John.

Spare us, the both of you!

John Mayer headed to Palm Springs this weekend and we hear he had himself quite a good time.

Why didn’t you call us to join you??

Mr. Womanizer spent the evening in the city’s most popular gay nightclub - Toucan’s Tiki Lounge. While inside, witnesses saw John dancing, drinking, and oh yeah, KISSING ANOTHER MAN!!!

The not so shocking liplock happened while John was enjoying the dance floor. Another man dancing nearby got the kind of urges he couldn’t deny and planted a kiss right on John’s lips – and he did not try to stop him! In fact, witnesses seem to agree that John enjoyed his manly smoochfest and the entire club cheered with delight at the sight.

Hawt!

If you ladies are worried that John maybe switching teams, don’t. If our liplock couldn’t keep him away from Maniston, nothing will!

We take it John Mayer doesn't really enjoy being interviewed, but we do know he enjoys sodomy!!!

Last night, a reporter caught up with John at a party he was hosting at the Armani store. After kindly telling the reporter " I love you, you're beautiful, but shut your fucking mouth" when talking about Obama's Nobel win, the conversation took an even stranger tone when the reporter asked about his new album:

"Why don't you tell me about your new album? You've been in the studio for a while.
I have a record coming out November 17.

Any particular theme or inspiration behind this one that makes it different from previous albums?
Look what we're doing right now! We're connecting right now! This is great! Yeah, it's going to be quite melodically bright, but the themes are all about heartbreak.

How is that different? Haven't you written a lot about heartbreak?
I think most artists do, but this is really breaking into the theme of it as a concept.

Is there hope behind the heartbreak?
The melody is the hope. The lyrics are the heartbreak, the melody is the hope. If you have the lyrics being the heartbreak and the music as the heartbreak, your editor made you ask stupid fucking questions! You're standing in front of me acting as if these questions are fair, but now we're talking about something real. So there was stuff I wanted to put on the record that just didn't fit the concept. So the next record will have that concept.

What concept?
More political things, worldly things.

Such as?
Nothing rhymed with public option.

You don't always have to rhyme, though.
I'm going to forcefully sodomize your editor."

Geez, we thought stoners were a mellow sort of folk!

Check out the just-released video for his new single, stoner song Who Says?, above.

The song is a sweet, simple little ditty and the video is kinda the antithesis to that, though. It looks big and expensive, kinda like a Mariah Carey vid - all glam and no substance!

Why so many beauty shots? You're pretty and all, John, but you don't need to be blown out and overexposed!

With his new album, Battle Studies, being released on November 17th, John Mayer has announced two upcoming shows around the holidays with the "elusive" John Mayer Trio including bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan.

They'll be playing at the Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego on December 29 and on New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Both concerts will raise money for veterans' charities including Military Outreach Ministry Camp Pendleton and the Veterans Health Research Institute.

Mayer's also planning his North American tour to begin in early 2010.
