After all the hearts he's broken, we're not surprised!

A source close to John Mayer has revealed that random women will regularly approach the singer on the streets and berate him for treating his ex-girlfriends, like Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, so poorly!

The insider explains:

"Girls came up and yelled at him, saying he was a horrible person. Girls asked how he could treat women the way he did. People would tell him exactly what they thought of him. He's looking for a new team to manage his image. He wants to change people's perspective on him."

Unfortunately, we think that the damage has been done - regardless of who is managing his image!

It will take a long time for people to forget about some of the stuff he's publicly said, but on the flip side, we're glad to hear that at least he's making an effort to change his behavior!

It's a step in the right direction, bb!

John Mayer is doing a variety show??

That's what CBS Entertainment President, Nina Tassler says.

Although Mayer has been busy working on his new album, CBS says he's still committed to doing a "music/variety sketch show" for the network - and is coming up with ideas.

Tassler adds:

"I was with him - there was a thing that he did… last week for just kind of trying out some new music. He’s very (into his) new album, (and his) new music, so once he has time - I mean this is like the busiest man in music, so once he has time, we’ll hopefully get back in."

We guess John is kinda funny and people do seem to like his music so maybe this variety show will be a hit?? Hmm, we'll have to wait and see…

How nice!

John Mayer was on hand at the Blythedale Children's Hospital in New York yesterday, performing as part of a benefit concert for the kiddies.

He even premiered a brand new song called the Age of Worry, which you can hear in the video (above)!

Kind of a somber tune for the occasion, but we're happy to see him lending his voice to a good cause!

This photo (above) was allegedly taken in a photobooth at the IAC company - which owns websites including CollegeHumor, Vimeo, and Match.com - and, as you can probably see, John Mayer is there, and in the most sexually uncomfortable way possible.

Anyone who can give us an explanation for this would be very much appreciated.

Ouch! Times are tough all over, huh?

Sources are reporting that John Mayer is attempting to sell his Los Angeles apartment with an asking price of $1.3 million. Thing is, when he bought the place four years ago in the upscale Pacific Palisades area, he paid close to $1.75 million for it.

That's quite a loss to take on the property, if you ask us!

Then again, he might not even care giving up the four-bedroom apartment and all the trimmings as he reportedly last week leased an $8 million Mediterranean mansion just outside of Los Angeles. It has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms and includes a state-of-the-art recording studio. This is along with his $2.1 million home in New York's SoHo area he bought five years ago.

So, he's not homeless, but he might be biting off a bit more than he can chew with this mansion business.

Whatever, it's his money. He can throw it away however he likes.

It turns out that John Mayer does not always get the girl!

Katy Perry and Russell Brand, now married, are very happy together. However, the night before they met, Katy and John looked very cozy!!

The night before the VMAs where Russell snagged Mizz Perry for himself, Katy and John met up at Gold Bar in New York after a Jay-Z concert.

Katy and John had never met in person, but had been exchanging flirty texts and tweets.

The night they met up they seemed so flirty and really into each other. They stayed at the bar late and left together!!

Then things took a turn. The next night at the VMAs Russell Brand, who hosted the awards show was instantly taken by Perry, openly admiring her from the stage

The rest is history….

Stay away, Eva, STAY AWAY!!

The last thing you need is serial dater John Mayer all up in your sexual napalm!

Although, unfortunately, he is certainly going to to try his hardest as friends say, he "is crazy about Eva," adding, "There is something about newly-divorced ladies that drives him nuts. He was the same way over Jessica [Simpson] when she left Nick [Lachey], and now he has his eye on Eva."

Good thing Eva knows better!

A friend of hers says, "No way is Eva thinking of another man right now. Mayer can send all the flowers in the world and even show up under her window with his guitar and it would make no difference. Eva wants some alone time. She is still heartbroken about her marriage falling apart."

Eva is getting a divorce from a CHEATING HUSBAND!! What makes him think she would want to get involved in the least monogamous guy ever?? Yeah, we didn't think so.

Gerard Butler had a star-studded birthday party Saturday night at The Darby in NY with A-list celebs like Adrien Brody, Kate Hudson, Bono, and Jay-Z.

Gerard went on stage with "mistress of ceremonies" cabaret star Lady Rizo aka Amelia Zirin-Brown who called him "Mistress Butler."

But the best part was his "outrageous version of Mustang Sally" with John Mayer.

An eyewitness at the party said:

"Gerry also sang Oasis hit Wonderwall with Lady Rizo and Mayer played guitar. They then followed it up with Mustang Sally. He had a pretty good voice — it wasn't what you'd expect from the guy from 300. It was epic. He was also in the deejay booth a lot and got the deejay to play a lot of rock, '80s and funk.

Gerry announced to the crowd that Mayer was going to sing for them, but John replied he just wanted to play guitar while Lady Rizo sang. So he had the crowd cheer to hear Mayer perform. Mayer then sang his hit Who Says."

Sounds like an amazing party! Happy 41st birthday, Gerry!
