Sucks! This sounds like such a pain!

John Mayer was forced to postpone the release of his latest album, Born and Raised, after discovering a granuloma above his vocal cords, and took this blog yesterday to announce that he successfully underwent surgery to take care of the issue, and is now on complete vocal rest for the next month - and possibly longer!

Oh no!

John Mayer revealed yesterday that due to a throat condition, he's been forced to cancel not only his upcoming singing engagements, but also delay the release of his new album, Born and Raised!

He writes:

Hi everyone,

After several months of going week to week monitoring and hoping to correct the condition, I am forced to cancel my upcoming singing engagements due to something next to my vocal cords called a granuloma.

I’m bummed to have to bow out of both the iheartradio Music Festival in Las Vegas and an appearance with Tony Bennett in Los Angeles. I know there were people depending on me to be there and I’m sorry that I can’t be on those stages.

‘Born and Raised’ is complete as far as music recording, song selection, and in some cases mixing, but because of this condition I couldn’t finish singing on several of the tracks. This means the record will be released next year instead of this fall or winter.

This is a temporary setback, though I’m not sure how long or short a period of time it will be. I’ve got the best doctors in the country looking after me and I will be singing and touring again as soon as I get the all clear. Until then I’ll be spending time writing and composing more music and kicking an empty soup can around the West Village.

I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon. Until then take good care.

These things do happen, sometimes, though, and we're sure your voice will be much better off in the long run if you take the time now to take care of yourself!

John Mayer was spotted in Los Angeles this week, sporting a return to a longer do.

Maybe he's trying to fly under the radar? Didn't really need the long hair for that though.

That's our subtle hint in asking you to make more music John. DO IT!

Oh geesh! Bad idea!

We reported a month back that Renee Zellweger was said to be spending some time with none other than John Mayer, and according to In Touch, the two are still seeing each other, and were spotted at NYC's Bowery Hotel looking "romantic!"

The source explains:

"She's actually having a good time…She's ready for some fun."

Yeah - because being the latest in a line of messed up relationships that ended with him exploiting their privacy sounds so much fun!

We'd keep an eye on him, if we were you, gurl!

Could this be true?

According to The Globe, Renee Zellweger is dating Jennifer Aniston’s ex, John Mayer.

Zellweger seems to have a thing for Jen’s leftovers as she also dated Bradley Cooper.

Sources close to Renee reveal the two have been “quietly” going on dates in Los Angeles and New York.

Renee and Mayer are said not to be in a relationship, with an insider adding, “She's looking for a good time with a hot guy."

We'll just have to wait to see if this works out.

At least he's saying mostly complimentary things about her…

Jennifer Aniston's secret ex-lover Brian Bouma has opened up about their romance, and he's got quite a bit to say about it.

For starters, he claims she "aggressively pursued him" while on the Love Happens movie set, for which he was a lighting technician.

Bouma also says that she prefers bad boys. No surprises there…cough John Mayer cough…

Here's what he had to say about dating her:

"[It] was an overwhelming experience. I just want to set the record straight, she's not the person people think she is."

"She approached me. All that's written about her being lonely is just ridiculous. I didn't spend time with Jen because she was famous or successful. I've been down that road before. It usually mean trouble with a capital T. It was because of the conversation that first time we spoke. She's genuine, sincere and charismatic."

"I guess she just wasn't that into me. She did tell me that I was too 'Mr. Pure.' She kind of made me feel and act like a young school boy."

And here's Bouma on the breakup:

"It would have been even better if I thought she was a jerk. But she's an amazing, beautiful and talented woman who's sweet and kind and treats everyone, with respect."

So there you have it. Jennifer Aniston is a respectful, genuine person…who just happens to like bad boys! LOLz.

Johnny Mayer and comedian Jeff Ross had a man-date at Mastro's Steakhouse in El Lay last night!

Apparently Mayer has started blogging again and could be working on some new jams for our ears. He's got a charity show coming up, very exclusive, for 100 people who donate!

That's wonderful of him, charity work is always so inspiring!
