John Travolta Oscar Jokes Rudely Make Fun Of His Dyslexia? But Scientologists Don't Believe In Dyslexia!

john travolta gets it wrongJohn Travolta mangling Idina Menzel's name was one of the most meme-worthy moments of the 2014 Oscars.

But in the few hours since the broadcast, there has been some backlash against the Adele Dazeem jokes.

According to critics, John's flub was a result of his dyslexia, and it's not nice to tease someone for a learning disability. That's bullying!

While we whole-heartedly agree that mocking someone's learning disability is insensitive and uncalled for, here's the thing- John doesn't claim to be dyslexic. In fact, according to Scientology he can't have the reading disorder- because dyslexia isn't even real!

Yeah, we're not really getting that one either. Luckily, lead Xenu expert and former dyslexic Tom Cruise explains it all in this video …AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Remember Last Year When John Travolta Mispronounced Les Misérables? Watch His Previous Oscars Flub HERE!

Hey sometimes talking is difficult!

John Travolta Don Gibraltar mispronounced Idina Menzel's name as Adele Dazeem last night, but this sort of gaffe has actually happened to him before!

Let's travel back to the distant past of February of 2013!

Things were a lot simpler then. Twerking hadn't become a fad yet, Sochi still had dogs that were alive, and if you had told someone that Flappy Bird was taken off the App Store, people would have just stared blankly and said, "what's Flappy Bird?"

Back at the Oscars last year, John almost comically mispronounced Les Misérables as Les Miserabless, which resurrected the angered ghost of Victor Hugo, who then violently terrorized all the nominees with baguettes and crepes!

Okay, so maybe Voltaire didn't rise from his grave, but this grave error was certainly an indicator of bloopers to come!

Ch-ch-check out John's slip of the tongue (above)!!!

If Adele Dazeem Released An Album, This Would Be The Track List!

Last night at the Oscars, John Travolta Don Gibraltar introduced the world to the next hottest, completely fictitious singer, Adele Dazeem!

Sure, Adele Dazeem (who we imagine to be a mixture of Adele and Idina Menzel) is no realer than Manti Te'o's college girlfriend (she might even BE Manti Te'o's college girlfriend), but that doesn't mean we wouldn't love to listen to all of her songs!

Find out out what Adele Dazeem's track list might look like…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Did You Just Hear John Travolta ROYALLY Screw Up Idina Menzel's Name At The Oscars?!

| Filed under: Music MinuteOops!John TravoltaOscarsIdina Menzel

john travolta gets it wrong

Talk about awkward!

John Travolta was introducing Idina Menzel at the Oscars when he made a booboo.

The Frozen starlet was getting set to perform the now Oscar-winning song Let It Go, but we hope she wasn't thrown off when he said the wrong name!

Maybe John mispronounced Idina's name on purpose. You know, to make it seem like he's not a big…theater fan!

Don't believe something this oddball could happen at the Oscars among people who recite lines for a living??? Well, ch-ch-check it out (below) to see for yourself!
