Your First Look!

36687.jpg

Check out the official U.K. promo poster for the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

It was the last film Heath Ledger was a part of before he died.

He looks rather dashing in this shot!

It also doesn't hurt that he is surrounded by Colin Farrell, Jude Law, and Johnny Depp, the actors that stepped in for him after his tragic passing.

Very nice!

Pirates 4 A Sinking Ship?

wenn5317294-jd.jpg

Though the movie is still in its pre-production stages, there could be some trouble ahead for getting the next Pirates of The Caribbean movie off the ground.

And that trouble's name is Johnny Depp.

Though he surprised a packed house at the Disney D23 expo last week in full Captain Jack Sparrow attire to promote the next film, the sudden departure of Disney chairman Dick Cook has the actor dismayed about the continuation of the project. This past weekend, he opened up to the LA Times about the move, saying that there is "a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment."

Dick Cook was the reason Johnny had signed up for the Pirates projects from the beginning, and with him gone, and with new suits in place and the script only provisionally complete, Johnny's commitment to Pirates may falter out of loyalty to his friend.

No Johnny, no Jack, no movie.

Maybe that is a good thing.

Are You Ready For Pirates 4? Johnny Depp Is!

ap-jacksparrow.jpg

You've got a wait ahead of you since the movie doesn't hit theaters for another three years.

However we can help you out by telling you the name of the film so you can stop referring to it as the fourth one.

Here it is: Pirates of the Caribbean: In Strange Waters!

Today, the big announcement was made at the Walt Disney Co.'s D23 Expo in Anaheim, just as Johnny Depp himself surprised an audience of 5,000 people by appearing on stage, in full costume and character, as Captain Jack Sparrow!

Johnny arrived in style in a gliding replica of his famous Black Pearl ship and cracked jokes with the audience about rum and the tasty dish that appeared before him - Kermit the Frog! Johhny Jack joked: "probably tastes like chicken."

We're not going to lie - we're a bit jealous we couldn't have been there.

Tom Cruise Was Rejected!!!

wenn5314093tc.jpg

Following the death of Heath Ledger, Tom Cruise put his hat in the ring for a part in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus to help complete Ledger's last film role.

But director Terry Gilliam wouldn't have it because Cruise never knew the late Ledger personally.

Gilliam says of Cruise's offer:

"I'm not sure if it was Tom or his agent. I know there was a period when Tom's agents were keen. The thing is, I was only interested in people who were friends of Heath. Simple as that. I wanted to keep it in the family."

As we know, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell ended up taking over as different versions of Ledger's character for the film.

Great choices, Terry.

Best to leave Tom and his buddy Xenu out of it!

First Trailer Of Heath Ledger's Last Film!

Take a peek at the last film ever to have Heath Ledger perform in (above).

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus also stars Jude Law, Johnny Depp, & Colin Farrell, who all stepped in for Heath after his death.

It looks visually breathtaking, but mentally exhausting.

Tim Burton Talks Dark Shadows - with Johnny Depp, Of Course!

wenn-timbur.jpg

As we first told you about back in December…

Tim Burton is jumping on the vampire bandwagon and announced himself - officially - that his next project would be a remake of the 60's cult classic Dark Shadows. The story follows an ancient 175-year-old vampire named Barnabas Collins, who pines away for a lost love.

And who will be playing this iconic vampire? We'll give you one guess…Johnny Depp. Who else is even in Tim Burton films?

Though the production might have to wait until Johnny finishes the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, they both couldn't be thrilled more about their eighth collaboration.

Johnny says: "I was obsessed with Barnabas Collins. I have photographs of me holding Barnabas Collins posters when I was five or six."

We're going to suppose that Helena Bonham Carter will be in it as well, just because, you know, it's a Tim Burton movie.

Does this flick idea intrigue U?

Johnny Depp? Why Yes!

wenn-channing.jpg

Responding to Johnny Depp''s wish to portray her in a film, the legendary Carol Channing has given her approval, saying:

"It is not a new concept to me. Not at all. Men have been imitating me for as long as I can remember. In fact, most of the impersonations I have seen have had a five o'clock shadow. I imagine, when or if Johnny should portray me, he will succeed. Because a true artist, such as himself, is one who loves his or her creation and therefore represents their honest view of that which they are creating. I think he is a gifted performer and I would be very proud, as well as interested in seeing what his vision of me would be. Johnny is someone I would very much like to help me and my foundation to bring the Arts back into the the public school system in America."

We have to agree with her - having Depp portray you would be an honor!

Johnny Depp's Dream Role Is…

wenn-johnydepp.jpg

Johnny Depp has had an amazing career, filled with a variety of roles. However, there is still one he is holding out for!

When asked about future projects and the ultimate role he wants to pursue, Johnny replied, "My dream role would be to play musical legend Carol Channing in a biopic of her life. I love her, I really do, she's amazing…With all the digital technology these days, I could probably pull it off!"

We would pay to see him gender-bender his way into this movie. Someone get a pen and starting writing the flick.

Or maybe Johnny could dress up like Carol Channing so we could see what it would look like.

If he's game, step up Hollywood!

Johnny Depp gives great tranny!

Gorges!!!

A second round of stunning promo photos for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film have arrived!

We're loving the styling of Mia Wasikowska as Alice - it channels more of a Lewis Carroll-Alice rather than Disney.

Plus Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway look just as fantastic in their trannylicious makeup as they did in the older shots!

Thoughts???
