Oscars dress drama!
Apparently Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld and national treasure Meryl Streep are at odds over a gown.
It was reported by WWD on Thursday that Meryl had been interested in a gray silk dress from the designer's recent couture collection and asked the neckline to be changed for the Oscars.
The fashion house had reportedly acquiesced to her request and begun working on the dress when, according to Karl, he received a phone call from the actress' camp that said, "'Don't continue the dress. We found somebody who will pay us.'"

Oop! That would obviously piss off the designer, who never pays people to wear his creations, and who also said:
The Chanel show was poppin'!
Karl Lagerfeld rounded up the most in-demand girls (sans Gigi Hadid) for the haute couture presentation, grouping together Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Lily-Rose Depp for the fabulous affair.

And each of the young women positively glowed!
It helped, of course, that they were wearing some of the finest creations Karl's ever made!
Kendall was a silver siren in a pewter look featuring a riot of feathers along the skirt which tapered off into a sheer embellished tail, while Bells channeled midnight magic in a navy dress featuring embellished skirt and matching over-the-knee boots!
But, really, it was Lily-Rose who stole the show in a magnificent pink ruffled number that could only be worn by a fairy queen on her wedding day! Or coronation, if you prefer.
Fashion designers continue to be obsessed with putting black hairstyles on white models.
Karl Lagerfeld is the latest culprit in the new Chanel S/S 2017 ads starring model Arizona Muse with her hair styled in Bantu knots and cornrows.

Back in 2015 Marc Jacobs sent models down the runway in Bantu knots, and just last year put them all in dreadlocks, to much backlash.
But it's obvious the fashion world continues to turn a blind eye to the many people who have repeatedly called them out for taking traditionally black styles and putting them on white models, without properly crediting black culture for giving them the ideas in the first place.
At this point we wonder if they'll ever learn.
And we'd just like to add that, at the very least, Mr. Lagerfeld could've chosen a black model for this campaign.

Don't be shocked that all the current young top models are hitting the ground running in 2017! They get whatever they want!
Bella Hadid has scored the first major campaign of the year with Fendi, and she was ecstatic about it, posting the (above) shot on her Instagram and writing:
"@fendi s/s 17 campaign shot by the one and only @karllagerfeld ! what a dream come true to start off the new year ! thank you @chaos @pg_dmcasting@samuel_ellis and Karl I love you so much🦋🙏🏼💙"

You can always count on Bella to appreciate all of her blessings!
This is already an impressive start, and we should all be prepared to see much, much more of her in the coming months.
Moreover, apparently Gigi Hadid has also shot for the campaign and will appear in upcoming ads alongside Bells and model Vittoria Ceretti.
Karl Lagerfeld said:
Between launching her new KIMOJI Instagram and popping up at a holiday party this week, Kim Kardashian West is slowly making her way back into the spotlight.
And yet, the reality TV star continues to have friends taking over her app and website.

On Thursday, Carine Roitfeld shared her own write-up in a throwback post to celebrate Kimmy's pregnant CR Fashion Book spread from 2013!
Sharing a possibly slightly embarrassing pic of Kanye West's other half (above) covered in jelly alongside herself, Karl Lagerfeld, and Riccardo Tisci, the famous Parisian wrote:
"Our first shoot with Kim Kardashian West was for the cover of CR 3—an issue filled with rule-breakers and muses who inspired creativity and hope. To me, it was the start of a true friendship with Kim and her beautiful family. To the world, I think Kim became a true muse, and perhaps a true friend too."
Hopefully all the kind words about this Kardashian will lure her out of hiding.

Gigi Hadid is ruling the fashion world right now!
(And it seems like Kendall Jenner is lying rather low, BTW.)

The supermodel just recently scored the cover of a supplemental issue of Vogue, and now she's on the cover of French Vogue's November issue, looking like a total badass.
This marks her eight international Vogue cover just this year alone! Dayum, girl!
She's ALSO Karl Lagerfeld's muse in an editorial dedicated to Fendi's 90th anniversary in Harper's Bazaar.
It's like she's the only model in the world! But, hey, she can't help it if the big names in fashion just adore her.
Check out her spread for Harper's Bazaar in the gallery (above)!

You don't see this every day!
While it seems the world is busy with the news of Kim Kardashian West being robbed at gunpoint while in Paris for Fashion Week, Karl Lagerfeld proved the show must go on!
At Chanel's Spring presentation on Tuesday, the designer sent robots (well, models dressed as robots) down the runway clad in the iconic tweed suits!

That's one way to be fashion forward!
Not every supermodel donned the suit, but it was a memorable way to open the show. And even without Kendall Jenner walking the catwalk like she usually does, it still had people talking!
