Kathy Griffin Wins Major Legal Battle Against Aggressive KB Home CEO Neighbor

no title

We've long been reporting the news about Kathy Griffin's aggressive, really kind of wacky neighborJeffrey Mezger, the CEO fo KB Home — but now we're getting word about a major legal battle won by the comedian.

It was just a couple weeks ago that Griffin had her restraining order against Mezger dismissed by a judge, but now, we know that another judge has completely tossed out a request for a restraining order from Mezger himself.

Sorry, CEO-bro!

Like it or not, mainstream media has seen very little of Kathy Griffin since she infamously took a photo with Donald Trump's bloody, decapitated head last May.

Blowback from the internet-breaking photoshoot included losing out on coveted TV gigs, a nasty fallout with Anderson Cooper, an insufferable FBI investigation, and mountains of death threats.

And while all signs may point to it being curtains for the comedian's career, Griffin knows that everyone loves a comeback (just ask that awful Winona Ryder L'Oreal commercial) — and says that hers will come before we know it!

In a wide-ranging interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Griffin reflected on the overwhelming backlash from the Trump photo that came out of a May 23 photoshoot with shock value photographer Tyler Shields. The decapitation concept was birthed from the two spitballing ideas for a photo that "would fuck with Trump."

Little did Griffin know, she would be the one who was fucked with. After initially apologizing for the photo in a self-pitying YouTube video, in which she claimed she "went way too far," Griffin decided to adopt a more unapologetic, Joan Rivers sensibility and defend the photo as a free speech issue.

At least, that was the plan before her June 1 press conference with Lisa Bloom turned disastrous — a flustering presser Griffin now blames on the famed attorney. She explained:

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen

According to a release from CNN's PR department:

"New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper & Andy Cohen was CNN's most-watched New Year's Eve special ever. Cooper and Cohen rang in the new year as No. 1 in the time period in ALL of cable in total viewers and in the demos on Sunday night."

And they're not lying! Nielsen Media Research reports the duo had 3.284 million total viewers, which is up by eight percent in total viewers during the hours of 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. from 2016. The 12:30 a.m. portion of the coverage drew 2.34 million viewers and the 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. marathon averaged 2.23 million.

In comparison, Fox News came in second with 2.423 million viewers and 608,000 in the key demographic. Booyah!

Congrats to Andy and Anderson!

Kathy Griffin is still upset over her love lost with Anderson Cooper.

As you may remember, the 57-year-old comedian was fired from co-hosting CNN's annual New Year's Eve special alongside the journalist after she sent out a photo holding a bloodied head that resembled Donald Trump. Anderson responded by saying he was "appalled" by the controversial photo that he described as "disgusting and completely inappropriate."

A source tells Us Weekly that Kathy is still "heartbroken" over losing her longtime friendship:

"[She is] still really heartbroken over the friendship lost with [him]. [Her] friendship [with Anderson Cooper] ended almost immediately after he tweeted about her photo."

As for how she feels about Anderson teaming up with Andy Cohen for the NYE special, the insider explains:

Three years after her death, Joan Rivers is still near and dear to our hearts.

On Friday, daughter Melissa Rivers spoke to US Weekly about her new scrapbook Joan Rivers Confidential, which features never before told stories of the legendary comedian using photos and notes from her famous friends.

Because the book is so personal, the 49-year-old describes the creative process as "tough" and "emotionally difficult." She confessed:

"It got tough at times, especially having to decide what I wanted to share about emotionally difficult times in my family."

However, she knows her mother — who passed in 2014 — would have a sense of humor about the entire project.

"I think her first question would be, ‘How many have we sold?'… I think she would be very annoyed that there are some [photos] in there from the early days — before retouching really became a standard operation and procedure."'

Although Fashion Police ended recently on November 27, the producer is proud of "the fact that I helped create and I got to be a part of a show that ran for 22 years… it's something I'm so proud of and so proud of in my personal legacy and in my mother's legacy and the legacy of us working together."

But what would her mother think about former Fashion Police host and friend Kathy Griffin's recent controversy?

This year, the redhead has been in feuds with Andy Cohen, Donald Trump, Bill O'Reilly, Anderson Cooper, Lisa Bloom, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck.
