Dr. Luke Won't Let Kesha Perform At The Billboard Music Awards After All!

Well it was nice while it lasted…

Kesha and Dr. Luke have been wrapped up in the biggest legal battle of the year for what seems like an eternity, but we were pleasantly surprised when we heard that she was making new music again.

However, it seems as though K was a little too quick to voice her interest in publicly shaming the record exec with a "statement performance" at this year's Billboard Music Awards, because he pretty much just blocked her from showing up. AGAIN!!!

Apparently, the Kemosabe boss originally agreed to let Kesha perform some of her songs LIVE at this Sunday's awards show, but changed his mind last minute when he heard that she was planning on directly referencing their sexual assault case during the act.

While the pop star could still take the stage to perform songs that aren't her own… we're not sure that ABC would want to risk upsetting Sony without the guaranteed ratings.

Still, we're also hearing Kesha will be in attendance in Las Vegas regardless, so at least she's not backing down!

You'll just have to catch The Billboard Music Awards hosted by Ciara and Ludacris this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC to see if Kesha makes good on her promise!

*** WARNING: Mild Jane the Virgin Spoilers Ahead ***

First Kesha. Then Britney Spears. And now Bruno Mars!

Jane the Virgin sure was able to attract a lot of guest stars this season thanks to Gina Rodriguez's historic Golden Globe win last year, but Monday's finale may have just saved the best for last.

That's because while we knew about Kesha and BritBrit's episodes ahead of time, Bruno surprised viewers as he popped up to sing an original song for Jane and Michael's (Brett Dier) wedding!

According to a press release, Bruno first wrote Rest of My Life years ago, but was never able to find the right home for it… until now!

Apparently, the Grenade singer is actually a huge fan of The CW dramedy and jumped at the chance to add something special to Jane's wedding night.

Too bad not everyone survived the wedding to talk about how great he sounded…

California Judge Keeps Kesha's Sexual Assault Case Against Dr. Luke On Hold! Find Out Why!

Get the details on the decision!

Kesha may be taking her life back right now, but she still needs to wait to take on Dr. Luke in California court!

On Monday, Los Angeles Country Superior Judge Barbara Scheper decided to keep the pop star's sexual abuse case against the Sony producer on hold, at least for now.

The blonde's lawsuit had already been on hold because her alleged abuser's breach of contract countersuit in New York hasn't yet been resolved.

Luke's attorney Christine Lepara told Buzzfeed that she and her team want the LA judge to drop the case entirely, since the 29-year-old already had the chance to make her argument in The Empire State.

But instead of dismissing the songstress' suit, Barbara decided to keep it alive — or at least, in limbo — pending the results of the NY counterclaims.

This decision will be revisited on July 15, when the next status hearing is scheduled.

Dr. Luke Demands To See Kesha's Medical Records — DETAILS

Kesha

Oh wow.

Dr. Luke is now demanding to have access to Kesha's medical records.

According to Page Six, this is an effort to disprove the True Colors singer's claim that the Kemosabe Records label head sexually and verbally assaulted her.

But what could the release of these records mean for other victims of sexual assault?

In a filing on Tuesday, Luke's camp said the 29-year-old "unambiguously waived" any therapist-patient privilege after trying to get out of her music contract by citing "physical, emotional and sexual trauma inflicted by Mr. Gottwald."

Kesha's attorneys argued against the filing saying that the purpose of the privilege is to protect "a person's innermost thoughts and feelings" — not to mention the damage violating the privilege could have on other rape victims' records in the future.

A Manhattan judge will rule which way to go on this one.
