Ryan Phillippe Drops Official Legal Response To Domestic Violence Claims, Says Ex Just Wants Money And 'Publicity'

UPDATE 9:10 P.M. EST: Ryan wants everyone to know he wouldn't even call Elsie his ex-girlfriend. He tweeted the following late Wednesday afternoon:

Ryan Phillippe has already vehemently denied the claims by Elsie Hewitt that he assaulted her, throwing her down the stairs of his home.

But now he's done so on the record.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Phillippe says he only ever treated Hewitt with "kindness and respect" and never physically harmed her in any way — and that he's considering further legal action but thus far is not countersuing for defamation.

The Shooter star's legal response says it was only after the model broke into his home "completely intoxicated" that she "commenced her scheme by making a false report to the police, wrongfully accusing [him] of injuring her."

He says Hewitt, who is seeking $1 million in damages, "fabricated a story in an unjustified attempt to extort money from Phillippe and gain publicity for herself and her modeling career."

Sadly, it all sounds disturbingly like what most Internet commenters say about women's claims of abuse.

Phillippe makes a point of saying how devastated he was by the accusation, noting that he "was raised by women in a household where women's rights, feminism, and advocacy were very much at the forefront, and he is sickened to be falsely accused of domestic violence."

What do YOU think of his defense??

Watch out Harvey Weinstein, Olivia Benson is coming for you!

Law & Order: SVU will take on Hollywood's sexual harassment scandal in an episode slated to air in 2018. Well, kind of.

Although the Mariska Hargitay-led crime drama will explore rape culture in the workplace, the upcoming hour won't be set in Hollywood. Instead, it will take place in an industry riddled in just as much controversy this year — the airline industry.

Why take to the skies instead of the stars? Because writers on the Dick Wolf procedural were already working on the episode before the Weinstein scandal broke and opened a dialogue on sexual harassment in the workplace.

Absolutely terrifying…

According to The Blast, last Friday, Gwyneth Paltrow filed for civil harassment prevention from a man who has allegedly stalked her and other female celebrities including Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian.

He allegedly even harassed executives at Kim's agency WME.

In the legal docs, also obtained by The Blast, the Iron Man actress says the unnamed individual sent "an alarming number of emails" to various addresses, including to her company goop.

But get this…

The perpetrator also allegedly sent "disturbing sexual emails to my child's school and leaving physical notes addressed to me near the goop store in Santa Monica."

A court hearing for a permanent restraining order is scheduled for next month.

In late October, the suspect was taken into custody after authorities discovered him with three outstanding arrest warrants.

We LOVE this woman!

Karen Fonseca was arrested last week on unrelated fraud charges, but she and the ACLU found it a little too convenient that local sheriff Troy Nehls had just been making threats on Facebook about the sticker on her truck window.

It says, "FUCK TRUMP AND FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM," btw.

So now that she's out on bail, she's fighting back using her constitutionally protected free speech — with a new sticker (above) saying, "FUCK TROY NEHLS AND FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM." Ha!
