Leona's First Solo Show!

92615731.jpg

And she got a standing ovation!

Leona Lewis may have given a fab performance at her first solo gig in London on Monday, but that doesn't mean she's without a few tricks up her sleeves - or lyrics!

In order for the X Factor winner to remember her lyrics, she wrote some key words on her hand as to not forget anything!

We can imagine Simon's disappointment if she had!

But, it all went down without a hitch! The show at the Hackney Empire was a return to where she performed as a teenager.

"I just want to say thank you so much for coming to support me," Leona told the audience. "The first time I ever performed here I was 13 so it seemed fitting for me to come back here."

And the concept was pretty ferosh! Leona appeared on stage in a black hooded cape with large images of herself projected on a see-through screen. Not to mention the half naked ghoulish dancers running around and a stage covered in smoke!

Congrats, Miz Lewis!

We expect many more solo shows to come!!

Leona Speaks! Lewis Staying Positive Despite Being Attacked

wenn5369893__opt1.jpg

As we all know, the lovely Leona Lewis was attacked by X Factor reject Peter Kowalczyk while at a London book signing of her autobiography, Dreams, earlier this month.

Now, the Bleeding Love singer is opening up about the terrible attack saying:

"It could have been worse. I'm still alive. It is just something you have to deal with when you have fame and the positives far outweigh the negatives. I don't like to dwell on the negatives. I'm a very positive person."

Glad you're staying positive!

And it probably helps to know that the douchebag is getting charged for the attack.

Leona Does Good

Leona Lewis is asking for your help.

The British singer has teamed up with the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to help spread the word against animal suffering.

The WSPA is "the world’s largest alliance of animal welfare organizations," with over 1,000 animal welfare groups in about 150 countries.

And to help out with her part, the cutie has just released a video to support the good cause.

Leona even brought along her family's dog, Misty, for the photo shoot. Too cute!

Lewis says:

"I wanted to get involved with the World Society for the Protection of Animals because I think they are doing great campaigns. I've always been a huge advocate for any charities that are trying to help animals, because they are trying to change laws to protect animals - which I think is amazing. I support the World Society for the Protection of Animals - WSPA - because they are trying to end some of the most appalling acts of animal cruelty in the world.

One reason animals are so vulnerable to cruelty is because there is no universal agreement between nations that animals can suffer and feel pain… The campaign for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare could be the beginning of the end for animal cruelty across the world. It's up to us to give these animals a voice, and put a stop to cruelty and neglect, right now."

Check out the video above and visit WSPA-USA.org/LeonaLewis to signup and help.

Leona's Attacker Is A X Factor REJECT!!!!

1xposure_leona_crying-0022__opt11.jpg

Jealousy has driven this guy mad!!!

Leona Lewis' bookstore attacker has been identified and captured by the police, so now, we are learning a little bit more about the man that punched Leona in the head!

The biggest question that has been looming is why the hell he did it? It was completely unprovoked and seems unreasonable for the man to have waited five hours in line just so he could sock her in the face.

So what was his motive?

Jealousy!

It was revealed that Peter Kowalczyk tried and failed to get on the TV show that made Leona a household name, X Factor. He was immediately turned down for the show and envied Leona for winning!

Because clearly it was all Leona's fault that he didn't make it! Ridiculous!

What a loser!

Peter has been taken to a psychiatric hospital after he was sectioned. He shall remain there until he is to appear in court.

What a horrible situation poor Leona is in now. The ones that really lose out are her real, non-psycho fans who probably won't see her out in public for awhile.

We just hope she is feeling better and can find a way to put this behind. She has a real gift and it shouldn't be wasted with her in hiding, though we don't blame her for laying low for a few days.

Man Charged Over Leona Lewis Attack!

1xposure_leona_crying-0022__opt1.jpg

Good! He deserves whatever is given to him - and then some!

Twenty three-year-old Peter Kowalczyk was charged with assault this afternoon after punching Leona Lewis during her book signing this week.

The Metropolitan Police announced that he will be appearing before the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in two weeks on October 26th. As of now, the man has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

You'd have to be mental to attack someone like Leona! She is just the sweetest! (We're not buying that this guy is mentally ill. It's a means to get a more lenient sentence!)

They better do her justice and punish this guy!

Leona "Hurt And Upset", Speaks Out After Attack!

wenn5369893.jpg

After canceling her book tour post-assault, Leona Lewis took to her website to explain her side of the story.

She writes:

"Thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages."

So sweet!

We bet most celebrities wouldn't be so gracious after being punched in the head!

Leona Lewis Cancels Book Tour!

1xposure_leona_crying-0022_.jpg

Poor thing!

In the aftermath of the cowardly attack she faced at her book signing, Leona Lewis has pulled out of any further appearances to promote her autobiography Dreams.

According to her spokesman, "Leona was due to go to Germany today for promo but that has now been cancelled. Leona is obviously shocked after yesterday but is OK."

The songstress was set to fly out for a day-long promotional tour, but she is understandably feeling like it's too soon to face the public.

Fortunately, Leona is still set to begin rehearsals next week for her first mayjah UK show!!!

Stay strong, bb!

Leona In Tears After Attack, Not Slapped - She Was PUNCHED! So Horrible!

1xposure_leona_crying-0022.jpg

As we mentioned earlier, the lovely Leona Lewis was doing a book signing today, Wednesday, in London for her autobiography, Dreams, when a random guy went up and attacked her!

According to a rep, "She was doing a signing to launch her new book. Hundreds of fans had been queuing since last night. A guy came up and punched her to the side of the head. She is absolutely gutted she did not get the signings finished."

So horrific!

Leona sustained bruising to the side of her head and was left "shaken" by the incident.

Lewis was quickly escorted out and spotted in tears (above).

Thankfully, the douchebag that punched her was arrested, though no information has yet been released as to why she was attacked. We can only image the guy must have some mental issues.

Why else would he hit her?!?

So wrong!
