Too bad Britney and Jamie Lynn couldn't make it!

This guy is a real piece of work. Hasn't he put this poor girl through enough?

Sam Lufti, who manipulated his way into the role of Britney Spears' manager while she was going through her issues and basically took advantage of her mental condition, has been pursuing a defamation lawsuit against her mother, Lynne Spears, for publishing just that in her memoir, Through The Storm.

Apparently, he's now trying to get the pop star on the stand to give a deposition, but her team has resisted, claiming she is mentally incapable of doing so. Therefore, on Monday, he asked a judge to have a pyschiatric evaluation of her to that the claims are not true, due to her recent lucid interviews and upcoming tour.

According to a declaration to the court by UCLA Assistant Professor of Psychiatry Joshua Retsky, who analyzed the singer's recent behavior on behalf of Lufti:

"In the Ryan Seacrest interview, which was recorded approximately two months ago, Britney Spears is interviewed at length, and she responds logically and coherently to questions, evidencing logical thinking and mental competency. The edited interviews in the [MTV] video documentary also evidence coherent and logical thinking, responsiveness to questions, and mental competence … In my opinion, there is good cause to conduct an Independent Medical Examination to investigate the Conservators' claim that Ms. Spears is not mentally capable of testifying, and the claim that she was not mentally competent to enter into a binding contract. …"

Yes, this all may be true, but that doesn't mean she should have to be thrown into a room with that man again!

It's clear that our Brit Brit has come a long way, and has made an amazing recovery from her issues thus far, but we imagine she's still got a long way to go - and there's no need to have to endure the added stress of a man who enabled her when she was at her absolute worst!

Can't he just leave her alone?! Ugh.

So, we've got it on good authority that Lynne Spears — mother of Brit and Jamie Lynn — has snatched up a job as a skincare salesperson, and that she also will go door to door if you set up an appointment!

The mother with famous daughters is now an "Independent Consultant" with a company called Rodan + Fields Dermatologists, and she'll be selling things like anti-age eyeclothes, to vitamin D supplements, and even a $160 anti-sun damage kit.

Here's what she had to say:

"My best friend, who is also a consultant brought me on board. I love the team I am working with and am excited about building my new business."

Not exactly sure that's your new business, but, we wish you the best either way! We hope you truly love what you do!

Britney's parents have rekindled their romance!

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that formerly split couple, Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears were at club Boudoir in Los Angeles on Saturday night and behaving more like teenagers than grandparents.

The two were "all over each other", a spywitness tells us. "They were holding hands and being affectionate all night long. They even started grinding up on each other when Britney's Toxic was played."

How sweet - and kinda weird!

It's nice to see that even though they're divorced, they can get along and spend time together with the grandkids!

While Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick get romantical in Hawaii, her parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears are taking care of their grandchildren Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Looks like a fun day on the beach in Santa Barbara!

For little Jamie Lynn Spears!

Lynne Spears and Jill Zarin of the Real Housewives of New York have become fast friends and during their most recent visit they discussed the possibility of Jamie Lynn going away to school. An insider reveals:

"Jamie Lynn is looking at colleges. Jamie Lynn wants to go to college and Lynn needed some guidance. Jill and Lynn are friends and they end up talking a lot about what their daughters are up to.

"Lynn knows that Jill helped Ally and she has very little experience in this area. Jill knows all about the applications and follow-up and Lynn needed an idea of what to expect with Jamie Lynn doing it."

That's really great and all, but who is going to be taking care of Jamie Lynn's CHILD Maddie while she heads off to university?! The insider continues:

"Jamie Lynn is ready to continue her education. It was difficult being a young mom, but she's doing it and she's ready for a new challenge. College would be great for her - she's very smart. Lynn is so supportive of all of her kids, and she would love to see Jamie Lynn earn a college degree."

Seems like going away to school wouldn't really be the best thing for her daughter… maybe she should stick closer to home and continue her education?

Britney Spears' mom Lynne was spotted this week having a girls' night out with none other than Real Housewives of New York City's drama mama, Jill Zarin. The two were seen having dinner at Kenmare in lower Manhattan having a long discussion.

Jill says:

"We talked about Mother's Day, what we got, about New Orleans, about traveling. Her kids are doing fantastic. Her grandkids are her life. She looks amazing. She's in amazing shape; she works out. She was really happy."

This wasn't their first meeting though, as Jill explains:

"I met Lynne a few years ago backstage with [my daughter] Ali at Britney's concert at the Meadowlands [Sports Complex in New Jersey], we just connected and we kept in touch. When Lynne comes to town we try to meet and catch up. She called me a couple of months ago and said she was coming to New York. It is [surprising]. I mean I'm a Jewish girl from Long Island, and she's from Louisiana, so you couldn't get more apples and oranges. But we're both moms who love our kids and who would do anything to protect them. And Ali and Jamie Lynn are around the same age."

Looks like Jill got a new hobby!

Our beloved Brit Brit stepped out with mamma Lynne Spears, her bodyguards, and her web-slinging cheetos Tater Tot and Small Fry last night to check out a flick at their local theater!!

We think girlfriend is ROCKING the blonde locks!!

But we're devastated to say good-bye to her precious yellow bag! She's been carrying that thing around FOR MONTHS!!

Where'd it go, Brit Brit??

We also wonder what movie they all went to see - Shutter Island, The Wolfman, or The Crazies??
