All of the congratulations are in order!
Maria Sharapova aced her way to a French Open win over the weekend, beating Romanian Simona Halep! Remarkably, this was the second time she’s won the event in three years!
And believe it or not, Miz Sharapova didn’t even think she could win! The 27-year-old tennis star said on Saturday:
Maria Sharapova certainly had people talking when it was reported that she was seriously considering changing her last name to Sugarpova to promote her line of candy products.
Her agent recently confirmed that she will NOT be going with the name change, however, the timing still couldn't have been more perfect for the tennis superstar!
Maria made her way to the Big Apple yesterday to celebrate the one year anniversary of her line of sugary goodness, and while she was there she showed off some of the new treats that she has to offer!
Sugarpova just launched a new line of brightly colored accessories, such as bags, purses, and even jewelry that can be bought at Henri Bendel stores as well as their website!
And the best part about these goodies is they wont give you cavities! LOLz!

Athletes make SOOO much money from their sponsors, that they essentially become walking billboards during big events and tournaments.
But Maria Sharapova is planning on taking endorsement to a whole new level as she's actually considering changing her name to promote her very own candy line, Sugarpova!
According to sources, the tennis superstar is looking into the possibility of a "quickie name change" and has already contacted the Florida Supreme Court about her interesting inquiry!
If everything goes according to plan, she'll be referred to as Maria Sugarpova for the duration of the U.S. Open and will change her name back as soon as the tournament is over!
Maria has poured a lot of money into her sweet business venture, so it makes sense that she would want to promote it any way she could. But we're not quite sure how we feel about her sugary name change!
What about U, readers?? What do U think??
