It's hard to imagine the Oscars without its jaw-dropping ending!
Sadly, this meant the comedian couldn't close the show with
If it's Lionel Richie you're looking for, you'll have to keep looking.
Because the music icon just postponed his joint tour with Mariah Carey!
According to TMZ, the 67-year-old is still recovering from a surgery he underwent last month to address a preexisting knee problem.
Apparently, there were complications with the procedure and the injury did not heal correctly, so the Hello singer had to push his tour back to give himself more time to recover.
Lionel and Mimi were scheduled to kick off their All The Hits tour in Baltimore on March 15 — playing 35 shows, including Chicago, New York, Boston, Detroit and LA.
That delay might not be so bad considering sales were reportedly tanking, with Ticketmaster even offering a "buy one, get one free" promotion for the shows.
Could the poor sales be the real reason the show was postponed? Hmm…
Either way, we hope the music legend makes a full recovery in time for his tour, which is being rescheduled for the summer.

Mariah Carey is on fire!!!!!
The diva paid tribute to George Michael at the Dubai Jazz Festival by performing her cover of the late music icon's ballad One More Try!
Mimi's vocals were put to work during the Thursday concert, which featured her first live performance of Michael's iconic tune since covering it on her 2013 album Me. I am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.
Before she belted out the song, the singer was feeling some emotions explaining she originally remade the track "in honor of someone I really admire."
As we previously reported, on Wednesday, the All That alum announced the arrival of his son with ex Brittany Bell, whom they have named Golden "Sagon" Cannon. And it seems everyone is on board with the TV personality's new kiddo, as Nick's ex wife has since congratulated the former America's Got Talent host on the new baby.
On how MiMi responded to her baby daddy becoming a poppa again, a source dished to E! News:
Nick Cannon's world just got a little bigger!
On Wednesday, the comedian announced the birth of his son Golden Sagon Cannon, sharing a black-and-white photo with his newborn on Instagram.
The intimate snap (above) came complete with a touching caption, in which the 36-year-old revealed the baby boy was born on Tuesday.
Mariah Carey is *still* not over that embarrassing NYE performance!
The songstress explained:
"It was a mess, and I blame everybody. And I blame myself for not leaving after rehearsal."
We're not sure she *actually* thinks it was partially her fault, though, as the We Belong Together singer went on:
"I used to get upset by things. This was out of my control, and had everything not been such a total chaotic mess, then I would have been able to make something happen. Even the dancers should have stopped dancing and helped me off the fucking stage. I'm sorry."
Now that it's been two months since the fiasco, Miz Carey added that she's ready to move on — because some people will just never understand:
Because lately, Mariah Carey has been giving zero fucks!
Two prime examples this week:
First, while on a date at the L.A. Clippers game Wednesday night, the Elusive Chanteuse became a bit less elusive, wearing a lowcut ensemble that was just teasing a nip slip all night — until it eventually happened of course.
Sure, the wardrobe malfunction can happen to anyone, but look at gurl tempting fate with just a millimeter of fabric on her totally real BF's Instagram from the evening:
Take that, Dick Clark Productions!!!
On Wednesday, Mimi wore a curve-hugging red dress as she sang her new breakup anthem I Don't, which was inspired by her breakup with billionaire fiancé James Packer.
With a live band and rapper YG at her disposal, Mariah had no technical issues whatsoever as she belted out the words to her new jam. She even looked like she was having fun cracking a smile during YG's verse!
Things are looking up in 2017, y'all. Ch-ch-check out the flawless performance (below)!
