This is going to be a messy breakup.
Rumors have been rampant that Mariah Carey was getting the boot, but now we're hearing that American Idol will be kicking its entire judging panel to the reality TV curb.
Say "Hi" to Britney Spears for us! LOLz (just kidding.. love you Brit Brit)
But SERIOUSLY.
Mariah, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, and MAYBE EVEN Randy Jackson will be replaced in an effort to boost AI's sinking ratings.
A source close to production said:
It’s no secret that American Idol hasn’t been doing so well lately, despite the publicity from Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s feud.
Last week’s episode brought in the show’s lowest ratings, with just around 11 million viewers — down an overall 22% since last season — which means that if the show wants to remain on the air next season, it’s going to need some MAJOR changes. YIKES!
We’re sure all will be revealed in due time, but for now, any of the following changes could potentially happen, including some rumored “format tweaks…”
Say bye bye to Nicki and Mariah, or so we think. Idol will most likely be getting itself some new judges. A source revealed:
While American Idol continues to play out the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj feud, Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon is not having it.
The America’s Got Talent host took to The Talk yesterday and said that the whole situation is “kind of unfortunate.”
He continued:
"When you see someone like my wife, who tries to remain classy and tries to take the high road, it feels like everybody else around it — including the network and the producers — feed into this whole sound bite drama. It feels like it lacks substance."

Well, well. American Idol’s judges’ feud may have finally gotten to Mariah Carey.
The singer is reportedly leaving the show, following ongoing tensions with fellow judge Nicki Minaj.
A source revealed that Mariah not only wants to leave the show, but she doesn't even want to try to finish out this season:
“Mariah doesn’t want to come back, Nicki is really disrespecting her and she’s tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time… One night Nicki tried to be kind of nice, but Mariah didn’t bite, so I guess she figured screw that.”
Though, it seems Mariah’s decision to leave is not solely based on Nicki. The source added:
