NBC’s Smash wasn’t lucky enough to get picked up for a third season, but despite its cancellation, we’re sure the ending is going to be AH-mazing!

The show’s star, Megan Hilty, revealed that one particularly big musical number, The Big Finish, will be especially gratifying:

It was no big surprise that NBC smashed Smashed to pieces.

But, it's still sad to see it go.

Yes, the network has finally let the show out of its misery and has cancelled it after two years of being on the air. NBC recently axed a slew of its network programming, so we had a feeling the show was on the chopping block.

But, what does the show's star, Katharine McPhee have to say about it?

Katharine said:

Smash star, Megan Hilty, is no stranger to center stage, but this time, she’s taking over radio waves. With the music video debut (above) of her single, No Cure, the singer-turned-actress-turned-singer bares her soul with honest, melancholy lyrics as she paces the confines of her apartment.

The new track can be found on Hilty’s It Happens All The Time debut album, available in stores now! In addition to this single, the record includes her takes on popular movie scores, Aimee Mann’s Wise Up from Magnolia and Damien Rice’s The Blower’s Daughter from Closer.

Oh no… it sounds like one show just might be headed for cancellation!

Just one month into season two, NBC’s Smash has not been doing too well in the ratings rat race and on Tuesday night, it hit a new series low!

The show dropped 22 percent in ratings, nearly tying the CW’s Hart Of Dixie — definitely not a good sign!

Guess not even appearances from the ever AHmazing Jennifer Hudson could get the viewers to tune in!!

Compared to the show’s pilot episode, which raked in around 11 million viewers, just a little over 2 million viewers from Tuesday night’s episode is quite the decline!!!

With this season debuting with only 4.5 million viewers, reports are now saying that the high-priced production might even be pulled BEFORE this season’s finale!

With such a superstar cast and LOTS of dramz, what could’ve gone wrong?

Musical dramedy SMASH's totally revamped second season is almost upon us, and to tide fans over until its premiere Tusday Feb. 5th, here's a special sneaky peek!

Ch-ch-check out a brand new character Veronica "Ronnie" Moore (Jennifer Hudson) as she sings an ORIGINAL ballad called I Can't Let Go, with Ivy (Megan Hilty) and Karen (Katharine McPhee) accompanying (above)!

OOOOOO lady, that voice is undeniable in it's power!

And we can't wait to get better acquainted with Ronnie's storyline, which apparently includes a rather controlling Momma!

Tap-tap-tapping our toes in SUCH excitement for Smash's return!

Though she missed the table reading, reputable reports insist Meryl Streep is in talks for joining the film adaptation of Into the Woods… AS THE WITCH!!

You might as well just slap us silly now. We're TOO pumped!!

And if that wasn't enough to excite your senses, Anna Kendrick read for Cinderella!! YES!!

The film's screenplay, which is being reworked by original book writer himself James Lapine, was read by a number of actors on Monday.
