Donald Trump isn't being very stupid, he can tell you that!

This week, the President revealed he did not have any "tapes" of his conversations with James Comey after weeks of teasing bombshell recordings like he was promoting the season finale of his presidency.

Now, the president wants us to know the real reason he use tapes to threaten the former FBI director — who claims he was fired after refusing to drop the Michael Flynn investigation. It was to keep Comey from changing his story!

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said it "wasn't very stupid" to paint himself as the moral authority by threatening the FBI head with recordings he didn't actually make.

Because according to the Commander in Chief, his threat could have been the only reason Comey was honest under oath. He mused:

With his pint-sized aggression and southern sass, Jeff Sessions is basically a living Saturday Night Live character.

So, it was perfect timing that the day of the Attorney General's testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, the actress who plays him happened to be on Late Night!

Kate McKinnon stopped by the NBC late night show on Tuesday to promote her new film Rough Night — and since SNL is currently on summer break, she broke out her southern, Grinch-like snarl and blessed us with a special reenactment of Sessions' testimony!

This mini-Weekend Update style bit came after Seth Meyers already broke down the AG's hearing earlier in his "A Closer Look" segment, noting Sessions provided nothing but denials and scurrilous innuendos.

Over at CBS, Stephen Colbert also roasted Sessions' frustratingly uninformative testimony, where the only thing he made clear was that he apparently had amnesia for the entire duration of Donald Trump's campaign!

It's been revealed Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have launched $245 "#Boycott" shirts with their logo emblazoned on them to throw shade at their haters.

In case you haven't been keeping up, many people have called for a boycott of the Italian fashion house after Stefano praised Melania Trump for wearing their designs in her official First Lady portrait. You know, since her husband Donald Trump has been horrifying the USA with his policies.

Sponsors Pull Funding From Play That Shows The Murder Of A Donald Trump-Like Julius Caesar

UPDATE 8:27 P.M. EST: The Public Theater responded to the controversy on Monday with the following statement:

"We stand completely behind our production of 'Julius Caesar.' We recognize that our interpretation of the play has provoked heated discussion; audiences, sponsors and supporters have expressed varying viewpoints and opinions. Such discussion is exactly the goal of our civically-engaged theater; this discourse is the basis of a healthy democracy. Our production of 'Julius Caesar' in no way advocates violence towards anyone. Shakespeare's play, and our production, make the opposite point: those who attempt to defend democracy by undemocratic means pay a terrible price and destroy the very thing they are fighting to save. For over 400 years, Shakespeare's play has told this story and we are proud to be telling it again in Central Park."

Directed by Kathy Griffin?

A production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar has come under fire for putting a Donald Trump spin on the titular role — who just so happens to get assassinated.

The New York-based arts organization put Trump look-alike Gregg Henry in the starring role, which saw Caesar as a bombastic businessman who wore long red ties and had a wife with a Melania Trump-esque Slavic accent.

The play will open on Monday at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, but early previews are already enraging some sensitive theatergoers — because in the play, Roman senators stab Caesar to death out of fear he's getting too power hungry!

Needless to say, not everyone was happy to see a POTUS-like Caeser get assassinated during NYC's Free Shakespeare in the Park, and sponsors were quick to respond as well.

On Sunday, Delta Airlines pulled its funding of the theater group in response to the spiraling criticism. The company said the theater "crossed the line" in a statement, writing:
