The friend confided to People Magazine:

It's not her first red carpet since giving birth, but dayum, she looks good!
Get it, Carey!!
While we can't help but gush over how beautiful the actress looks, it seems we aren't alone. Meryl Streep was also on hand Monday night to bring her co-star up on stage, giving Carey a HUGE kiss!
It hasn't even been two weeks since they last saw each other, but see how they reunited (below)!
We sure are!
The actress almost looks like she was never even pregnant at all!
Meryl was like a cool glass of water in her blue Lanvin gown next to her co-star's more elaborate outfit, but both women exuded confidence and class.
Which look is your fave???

This woman is too fabulous!
Laverne Cox was all poise and glamour at the Ricki and the Flash premiere in New York on Monday night.
The Orange Is The New Black actress wore a powder blue Elizabeth & James dress with asymmetrical skirt that fit her like a glove.
Her sleek, straight hair and red lips were about as perfect as it gets, although we weren't so keen on her white Christian Louboutin pumps.
Still, we're willing to let that small detail slide this time.
Also check out pics of Meryl Streep, daughter Mamie Gummer, and musician Rick Springfield in the gallery (above)!

What a beautiful trio!
And though they each kept it simple, we love their monochromatic ensembles.
The Oscar-winner maybe had the most going on with her embellished velvet coat, while Dakota played up the bold shoulders of her black blazer!
Talent certainly runs in these genes!
Meryl Streep's three daughters are getting into the biz together, but instead of making movies like their mama, they're all starring in & Other Stories' latest fashion campaign.
We're sensing Miranda Priestly would approve!
Grace, Louisa Jacobson, and Mamie Gummer look adorable in the new ads promoting the brand's collab with Claire Vivier — they even have a casual, oh-we-were-just-here-hanging-out-but-feel-free-to-take-our-picture kind of vibe.
If only everyone understood that basic isn't always bad! And in cases like this, it's everything!
Oh, and Stedman was there looking super handsome too!
And Meryl Streep has been to this show so many times that she left the ballgowns at home and opted for the most business-formal dress ever! The two-toned frock probably would have looked more glam without the blazer, but it was raining so we can't blame her one bit!

Two types of people enjoy the Oscars — those who care about movies, and those who care about fashion.
For those of you in the latter category, here's our third annual gown predictions gallery for the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominees!
We've only gotten one accurate prediction in the past two years, but does it matter? It's just another excuse to look at pretty dresses!
