Meryl Streep Donates Money To School In Viola Davis' Honor

So generous!

Oscar winner Meryl Streep did something super nice for her fellow Best Actress nominee, Viola Davis.

She donated a $10,000 check to the Silver Mountain Foundation for the Arts in honor of Viola who grew up in Central Falls, Rhode Island and has been supporting the school through her moral and financial help.

Recently, the building that houses the school has been in trouble. It's been scheduled to be sold for $1.2 million within the next 12-13 weeks, but hopefully, with the help of Viola, and now Meryl, the school can remain.

School founder Angelo Garcia said:

"We've just been screaming from the rooftops. [Viola has] always kept us on her radar."

Great work, ladies! Education is oh so important and you're just helping to make the world a better place.

Also, this should soften the blow of losing that Oscar to Meryl, right, Viola? Ha!

Colin Firth's Flight Back Home Has Unexpected Turbulence! Passengers Get Into A Scuffle

colin-firth-flight-interrupted-by-fight-web.jpg

All Colin Firth wanted was to get back home after presenting Meryl Streep her Oscar.

Instead, he got front row seats to a passenger throwdown!

The actor was with his wifey, Livia, and two sons on a flight back to the U.K. when two passengers got into fisticuffs over an alleged stolen item.

The fight got so intense that the plane had to radio ahead to London for security as no one could stop the two from going at it! (No air marshal?! What the what?!)

Colin was cool, calm, and collected, his only concern being the welfare of his family.

That's how you display a kingly attitude!

Check Out The Making Of Celeb Filled Movie: The Movie Trailer!

So many cameos!

As reported earlier, Jimmy Kimmel made the best movie never made with Movie: The Movie!

So how did he get ALL these stars jam packed inside this trailer?!

Featured in a behind-the-scenes video of the EPIC trailer, the stars explain their motivations for hopping onto the project.

Their reasons are HIGHlarious!

George Clooney believed that it is rare when an actor gets to honor his or herself. He then blasted off the billions of awards shows in existence.

Don Cheadle demanded his Black Swan spotlight and Gabourey Sidibe felt that Hilter needed to be protrayed by a woman of color.

Even Scorsese gets in on the action!

Check out the behind the scenes funniness in the video above!

We're still upset there wasn't a Hamm-er sighting!

Meryl Streep Thanked Her Hubby, Her Makeup Artist But NOT Margaret Thatcher!

meryl-streep-under-fire-for-not-thanking-margaret-thatcher-web.jpg

Uh oh!

Meryl Streep is taking some heat from the actual Iron Lady's closest companions.

The actress won her third Oscar (with fourteen OTHER nominations!) Sunday and she thanked her husband and makeup artist (for an award she felt guilty of winning).

But not Margaret Thatcher.

Lord Norman Tebbit, a political ally to Thatcher, stated that he wasn't surprised that Meryl forgot to honor the former prime minister.

Tebbit stated that "the film was about Meryl Streep, not Lady Thatcher" and if Thatcher acted like her movie's portrayal, she wouldn't have lasted very long in office.

To be exact, the Lord said Thatcher wouldn't have lasted six months!

This compounds The Iron Lady's earlier criticism for focusing on Lady Thatcher's dementia, not her politics.

Do U think Meryl's speech was a slight or just right?
