Out with the old, in with the new!
Earlier this week, Beyonce parted ways with her manager father, Mathew Knowles, after long time reports of a strained professional relationship.
Now, Beyonce is teaming up with producer Dave Taylor, aka Switch (his DJ name), to re-invent her sound for her upcoming fourth album.
Taylor/Switch is renowned for remixing Lily Allen and Fatboy Slim, as well as making beats for Xtina, M.I.A., and Santogold.
Here's what Beyonce had to say about the new album:
"I'm not in a box. The new record is not R&B, not typically pop, not rock. It's just everything I love mixed together."
We're intrigued. We'll look forward to hearing your new sound, Beyonce! Good luck!

Well, that was fast!
M.I.A. recently announced via Twitter that that she will be releasing a new mixtape, called Vicky Leekx, which is set to drop on New Year's Eve!
She wrote:
vicky leekx mixtape coming new years eve! layin bad minds to rest 2010!
Hopefully this will be a return to form, with none of that obnoxious pretense to which her last album succumbed!
We're cautiously optimistic, bb!
Bring in 2011 right!

Looks like someone isn't too pleased with M.I.A.
The singer released her new song Bedroomtothehallwaytotheroadtotheworld on her website last week, which didn't make her former producer, Diplo, too happy.
He later tweeted:
@_m_i_a please stop leaking the songs you didnt pay me for…
Whoops!
That's a little embarrassing.
We wonder why he would even want to take credit for mediocre songs anyway!
Thoughts??

If only she had songs like this on HER album!
Check out Rye Rye's new single and video, Sunshine, featuring M.I.A. (above).
Wow, she can't even be bothered to try and put something decent out, can she?
Check out (above) - or don't, it's an effing waste of time - the music video for M.I.A.'s latest single, Story To Be Told.
Frankly, we don't know which sucks more - the song or the video!
Which do you think is worse??

When and where, we don't know, but it is happening!
Fans of M.I.A. have been waiting patitently for her to get her ass back to the Big Apple after her gig at the HARD festival went terribly awry! The rapper had promised that the next time she was in town, she would put on a free show for all her dedicated fans, but still, nothing has been planned yet.
There were some kerfuffles about M.I.A. putting on a ticketed show towards the end of the month and that put fans in a tizy, but a source deep in her camp says that the show is still in the works and will be happening. According to the insider:
"They are working on details, place, and date, so I don't have info on it yet. Stay tuned."
There you go then. Stay tuned! Hopefully, she won't make you wait too much longer!
