Michael Lohan to the rescue!

…or so he hopes!

Lindsay Lohan is getting the STRICT help she needs at the Betty Ford Center, but that just isn't enough for her opinionated papa.

While Lindsay is finally adjusting to life without pill poppin', Michael has made it his mission to break Lindsay out of her court-mandated 90 day rehab stint and transfer her to the Lukens Institute as soon as possible.

Why??

Michael explained:

Betty Ford might be the best thing that’s happened to the Lohan family in a loooooong time!

Now that Lindsay is getting her shizz together — or so we hope — as she completes her 90-day treatment, the rest of her fam might actually get to resolve of their issues, too! How exactly? With a good ol’ family therapy session!

A source revealed:

Trying to keep up with Lindsay Lohan’s personal and family drama is proving to be incredibly difficult, to say the least!!

First there was the whole rehab mix-up. That led to Lindsay’s parents, Dina and Michael Lohan, pointing fingers, and now all of the sudden it seems like Lindsay’s parents are the sources of more dramz than Lindsay herself!!

Which may have actually been the case for years, according to LiLo’s interview with Piers Morgan.

But NOW, Michael Lohan claims that ENTIRE interview was complete hogwash and totes orchestrated by Dina.

Michael Lohan said the following about Lindsay’s interview:

Lindsay Lohan may be safely "ensconced in the bosom" of the Betty Ford Center, where she'll (hopefully) be serving the remainder of her 90 day, court-ordered rehab sentence in lieu of jail for her latest probation violation with little to no drama, but that doesn't mean gurlfriend isn't still finding ways to make it into the news!

And believe us, this one is a DOOZY!

Last month, the actress sat down for an INTENSELY in-depth, no-holds-barred interview with Piers Morgan about her bad reputation, drug use, countless legal and personal problems, her, ahem, 'strained' relationship with father Michael Lohan, and even her time with Samantha Ronson!

Seriously! No stone goes left un-turned!

And even if we have a hard time believing that she's only done cocaine "four or five times," and shake our head sadly when she STILL maintains that she doesn't belong in rehab, can stop drinking whenever she wants, and would rather repent by working with children in other countries, we're glad to at least see that she's attempting to reflect on her life choices and went into this latest program with a positive attitude!

But don't take our word for it!

Now, LiLo’s mommy dearest wants to make it clear Michael is no savior despite any claims he has of helping his little girl out.

In fact, she thinks he’s the LEAST helpful thing around!

So WHY did Lilo settle on Morningside instead of jetting off to her rehab of choice AKA the Lukens Institute located in Florida?

In an exclusive new email written by Lindsay's Daddy Dearest Michael Lohan, the Lohan patriarch claims Lindsay's lawyer Mark Heller pushed Lilo into agreeing on Morningside by claiming it had already been judge approved, and that she'd be arrested if she didn't go!

While it was said that Lindsay Lohan would be going to New York's Seafield to complete her 90 day court-ordered rehab stay, Papa Lohan has confirmed that it is actually between Morningside in Newport Beach and The Lukens Institute in Palm Beach.

However, being the loving father that he is, Michael isn't so keen on Lindsay returning her old stomping grounds at Morningside. Instead, Michael would MUCH prefer daddy's little girl go to Lukens, but apparently lawyer Mark Heller will do just about anything to prevent that from happening!

So WHY is Lindsay's not-so-trusty lawyer so against Lukens?!
