Michael Urie Knows Nothing About Nick Jonas

Thank goodness they have the next six months together to get better aquainted.

If you haven't heard by now, Nick Jonas just started his run on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Joining the cast alongside him is Ugly Betty star Michael Urie. In fact, the pair have spent the last threes together in rehearsals, working very closely.

Unfortunately, it seems that Michael still has a lot to learn about the young JoBro. Check out the video (above) to see what we mean!

It's a good look for him, that bow tie we mean!

As of this week, Nick Jonas will be officially replacing Darren Criss as J. Pierpont Finch in the Broadway revival of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying!

For those of you who won't be making it into the city for his opening night, here is a pretty spectacular behind-the-scenes look at his first stage rehearsals for the show! (above)

Oh, and another plus — Michael Urie is starting with the production this week too! He's also in the video talking about joining the show and how excited he is!

Can't wait to get to New York to see it!

Michael Urie, On His Sexuality

Filed under: Gay Gay Gay > Michael Urie

It doesn't seem like it would be a secret, but until today, Michael Urie of Ugly Betty fame has never officially announced his sexual orientation. Of course, people have made their assumptions based on his acting roles and of the such, but now we have a definitive answer from Michael himself.

In an interview for The Advocate, Michael explains that he would rather not put a label on himself as "gay," but he is currently dating a man. (A very sexy actor man named Ryan Spahn!) Michael reveals:

“I’ve never been in. I’ve never said I was straight, and I’m not saying I’m gay now. I never lie, and I’ve never shied away from the topic. I’ve certainly chosen through my work to do things that promote the rights of LGBTQ people. I am not a hypocrite—certainly not now…I’ve been in a relationship for a while now, and if you just met the two of us together we’d be ‘gay.' But that somehow means anything that happened before [we met] didn’t count—and I don’t feel that way. I know that some people feel that way. They were with women, but it always felt wrong. But it didn’t for me. It felt right at the time. It didn’t work out, but it also didn’t work out with other men—many times. That’s why ‘gay’ never seemed right.”

So, when asked which letter in LGBTQ he identifies with most, Michael selected "Q" - queer.

And there you have it. Not so much a mystery solved.

Michael Urie Loves America

wenn-uglybettymuaf.jpg

As do we!

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera supported the theatrical efforts of costar Michael Urie by showing up to a performance of his show, The Temperamentals, in NYC this weekend.

Adorbs!

We hear some good things about Michael's show and we are loving America's simple, sexy summer look. Girl knows how to work it out when she isn't forced to wear those fugly specs and Mexican ponchos.

Kudos to both.

Our heart is melting!

Ugly Betty's Michael Urie was looking super ridiculously cute this weekend while participating in the 11th annual Broadway Barks event to help a number of homeless cats and dogs find new homes!

But more importantly…

Who's cuter: Michael or the adorable pup Michael's holding????
