She was probably faded!

Mischa Barton showed up for a screening of Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story this week, but it was completely by accident!

According to the NY Post, "Mischa Barton showed up and was asking for tickets. She started walking the red carpet and saw it was sponsored by Esquire Soho, the men's magazine's Soho Mews penthouse. Then, our witness says, 'She took one look around and realized she was in the wrong place.'"

The idiot finally headed across the street to the Metropolitan Opera's opening of Tosca!

Although, many people were confused by the choice of Moore's venue, as attendees were seated in the City Balcony - a part of the theater sponsored by the greed plagued Citibank.

But, no excuse for Mushy!

She didn't even make it inside!

And she's still claiming it's because of her tooth!

Fresh out of excuses, Mischa Barton has been causing grief on the set of The Beautiful Life, as she comes to work so faded that she holds up production!

According to a source, "She was getting snippy with the director and kept demanding that someone make instant coffee for her. Often, she'll stare at the coffee for minutes at a time and say, 'Who will fix my coffee? I need someone to fix my coffee.'"

WTF?!

A week on psychiatric hold does not a recovery make!

Things look pretty damn ugly for Mischa Barton's new CW show, The Beautiful Life. It literally had it's ass handed right back to it in the ratings last night.

The show garnered itself a mere 1.5 million viewers. Some might even call that pathetic for a series opener.

Meanwhile, Glee rocked in a hefty number - 6.6 million sets of ears and eyes tuned in. (How much did you love their rendition of Mercy?!)

Course, neither show stood a chance against the real hit of the night, the series finale of America's Got Talent which brought in 15.5 million viewers!

But if Mushy wants to keep her show afloat, she better do something really naughty to get some attention.

We'll be waiting!

This really has to be about the worst excuse we've ever heard and she's sticking to it!

In an interview with the ladies of The View which aired earlier today, Mischa Barton spews this BS gives the following explanation for her recent hospitalization:

"I was overwhelmed. I had too much work going on. I had a surgery for my wisdom teeth that went really badly. I had been in the hospital. I had two surgeries on my wisdom teeth. I had four taken out and they had gotten it really badly wrong. They had to drill into my jaw and I was just in really excruciating pain. I had an infection and a dry socket and I woke up on a Sunday morning and there was no doctor available…I had so much work to do and the surgery had gone so badly for me. And I think that I was just starting to feel completely overwhelmed. It was just too much to have this surgery go so wrong."

Oh Mushy, you need to hire better PR people!

Surely they could have advised her to go with the tried and true "exhaustion" excuse?

But we're pretty sure your stint at the psych ward had less to do with your teeth and more to do with your hard-pAArtying ways, Mush Mush.

PS. Is it just us or does her voice sound extra deep?

Old meets new as two actresses from Josh Schwartz's hit teen dramas met up last night.

Former O.C. star Mischa Barton attended a cocktail party in honor of designer Kris Van Assche, hosted by GQ & Dior Homme, in New York on Tuesday night and met up with Taylor Momsen from Gossip Girl.

The hard-pAArtying girlies hung out and posed for pictures at the swanky party. We have to commend Mischa for making a good choice; Taylor is only 16 and can't legally drink, therefore the temptation to do so wouldn't be staring Mischa in the face.

Taylor will go to the bathroom and do her things there! Hopfully she won't bring Mush Mush along!

We give credit where credit is due and and we happily give some to Rumer Willis, who seems to understand that the party scene that most young Hollywood starlets frequent is really more dangerous for them than enjoyable.

And while she recognizes the faults of her fellow young actresses, mostly she pities them for falling prey to the Hollywood machine. Like Mischa Barton.

Be careful, girl. Your words may come back to haunt you!

Potato Head tells Glamour magazine: "I do feel very sorry for Mischa Barton. This whole world is very enticing. When you start getting famous it's exciting. But I've grown up having to deal with what's real and what's not and I just don't care about that type of thing. I have better things to do…I think it's important that the only people you have in your life are people who support you and are positive."

Agreed, Potato Head. Agreed.

Maybe you should go hang with Mischa for a bit. It could be good for you both!

She's been through a lot lately. And it shows!

Poor thing!

Mischa Barton looked like she was carrying a heavy burden on her back. A lot of tension and stress.

Perhaps it was over her less than flattering outfit????

We've seen dirty hookers in better shape!

Nice try!

Mischa Barton explains the cause of her psychiatric stint at Cedar Sinai last month and we don't find it very convincing.

"I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once," says the wacktress.

It seems that before Mischa was scheduled to begin filming her new CW show, Beautiful Life, she had done some extensive traveling on top of having a botched wisdom tooth surgery!

And then she turned to coke?!

Because they don't hospitalize or grant you a police escort for stress!!

"I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn't take those during work," she says of the dental procedure. "So it's been a nightmare."

We're not surprised life was difficult for her without drugs!

"I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while," divulges Mushy. "Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control."

Mischa denies she suffered a mental breakdown.

Awww, honey. Denial is not one of the steps of recovery.
