Hunters killed a spirit animal albino moose!!

Horrible!

Three hunters in Nova Scotia sadly murdered a rare albino moose, which is considered to be a spirit animal by the indigenous Mi'kmaq community.

The white moose has been living in the Belle Cote forest for many years and even though killing the spirit animal isn't illegal, it's still sad, and is considered blasphemous to the indigenous people.

…Especially considering the fact that the hunters posed pics gleefully with the dead animal and posted them on Facebook.

A Mi'kmaq hunter explained why their community would never harm the albino moose and it's importance, saying:

Boo! Bristol Palin Going Moose Hunting!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooMoose

TOTALLY UNCOOL!

Bristol Palin is following in her mother's footsteps and is going moose hunting.

We think this is a terrible move by the reality star, and we really wish she would reconsider hunting animals for sport.

We seriously hope Tripp doesn't follow his mom's lame ways, or we'll be having generations of the Palin's moose hunting.

Pick a different sport for crying out loud!

Like dodgeball or something.

Those dogs did what they could to bite the moose while the woman grabbed a shovel and started whaling on the moose until it ran off.

Hear her describe the attack in detail in the above video.

Pete The Moose's Death Cover-Up Uncovered

The real Pete the Moose

The owner of the game park where Pete the Moose lived has taken responsibility for the cover-up that followed the death of Pete.

Pete was a moose who was adopted as a calf after his mother was attacked by dogs.

He was the catalyst in a debate in Vermont about the mixing of wild animals with elk kept on preserves.

Pete soon became a spokesman of sorts, and even got a page on Facebook.

Tragically, Pete died while sedated during a normal hoof trimming back in September.

But we didn't find out about it until a few days ago!

The Commissioner of the Fish and Wildlife Department said:

"I did talk to the Nelsons yesterday evening and expressed my frustration with what had happened, and I was happy that they decided to take ownership of the issue.

The whole issue of Pete the Moose has been such a lightning rod, my guess is they were just concerned about what would happen (if word got out about the death)."

The son of the preserve owner who was responsible for Pete, said:

"The blame goes to us. We're the ones that didn't say Pete died. We said we would take care of Pete, and then a few weeks later, geez, Pete died. And so we were mortified, and we said, `Oh, we'll just sit on this one.'"

C'mon guys, don't you know honesty is the best policy?

At least they've come clean so fans of Pete the Moose can properly mourn him.

R.I.P. Pete.
