Morgan Freeman: Stop Stealing My Voice, Right Wing!

Morgan Freeman Voice

Morgan Freeman has one of the most recognizable voices. …probably ever.

Not only that, but it's a voice everyone loves because of its reassuring tone. That everyone includes pr managers for conservative politicians.

A commercial recently aired in Wisconsin attacking Democrat Shelly Moore using a voice that distinctly sounds like Morgan's.

But Morgan is not cool with that ish.

In a statement, his rep reiterates:

Morgan Freeman Honored By AFI, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

morgan freeman honored by afi

He's played the President. He's played God. He deserves some recognition.

Yesterday, Morgan Freeman was honored by the American Film Institute (AFI), who presented him with their Lifetime Achievement Award.

Celebs who attended the event to celebrate Freeman's achievement include Clint Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Tim Robbins, and Forest Whitaker.

Here's what Clint Eastwood had to say about Morgan, whom he referred to as "the greatest actor":

"He is the most effortless person to be around and to act. I don't know if it's proper to love another man, but this is as close as I'm going to get to it."

And here's what Morgan had to say when presented with his award:

"This is easy to take but hard to believe. Where I come from in Mississippi, they call this walking in high cotton. For me, heaven has always been about acting in the movies. I'm proud to be an actor, although for this one night, you've made me feel like a star."

He may not be a role model when it comes to his personal life, but there's no denying the fact that Morgan's a talented actor and was def worthy of receiving AFI's prestigious award.

What do U think? Did Morgan Freeman deserve AFI's Lifetime Achievement award?

gregory peck gets a stamp

Such a nice gesture!

Late Hollywood legend Gregory Peck will be honored on Thursday, April 28 by the United States Postal Service and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the First Day of Issue ceremony for a Gregory Peck Commemorative Stamp.

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles' Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and it will be hosted by Sharon Stone. Other guests will include Laura Dern, Morgan Freeman, and singer Natalie Maines.

Peck's stamp marks the 17th entry into the Legends of Hollywood series, and it features the actor portraying Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.

What a lovely way to pay tribute to such a phenomenal actor!

Will U pick up some Gregory Peck stamps when they're released on the 28th?

Matthew Fox Gets Bad In New Film Role

Matthew Fox gets new role

In his first major film role since LOST ended, Matthew Fox has signed on to play the bad guy in the upcoming reboot of the the James Patterson detective franchise called I, Alex Cross.

Fox will play a deadly assassin and one of the best known villains in the Patterson novel series who kills the titular detective's wife after one of his murders is almost thwarted by Cross.

The film, based off of the book of the same name, sounds like it will be a prequel to the previous Cross films Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider, which starred Morgan Freeman in the lead role.

As much as we'd love Morgan to return despite his age (CGI can fix anything), Tyler Perry is attached to take over the character.

This definitely could be inneresting!

Are U psyched to see Perry and Fox go at it?
