We're glad this AWFUL rumor has been debunked.
Over the past few days, a terrible PageSix rumor about Justin Theroux and 9/11 sparked outrage amongst Americans, especially New Yorkers. In a nutshell, the article alleged a source on the set of The Leftovers overhead J.T. making a VERY off-color joke about the terrorist attacks.
The actor allegedly said, "9/11 was the best thing that happened to New Yorkers," in reference to apartment prices decreasing after the tragedy.
Obviously, the comment is beyond insensitive and very hurtful. It's also disturbing considering Theroux is a longtime resident of NY and witnessed the aftermath first hand.

The 29-year-old former child star and her new husband — who is the half-brother of former French president Nicholas Sarkozy — welcomed about 50 people to their wedding at a private home in Manhattan.
In a weird twist,
Sad news for all you Beliebers out there as Justin Bieber announced he had to cancel both his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as well as his performance during The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS.
People close to the Parade production said that the 21-year-old was scheduled to shoot his performance on Tuesday night in New York City — some time after he appeared on Colbert's late night show.
He apparently told them he had to cancel for undisclosed personal reasons.
There aren't any specifics regarding why JB had to bail but he did take to Twitter to apologize to Stephen and The Late Show tweeting:
