People don't want to ring in the New Year with Mimi! Mariah Carey's New Year's Eve concert at Madison Square Garden is facing dismal sales numbers!
It's her first New York City concert in years and sources tell us that is has THOUSANDS of unsold seats. Tickets are available on all levels and there are tons of unsold VIP packages as well!
Uh oh, Mimoo!
Maybe you and hubby Nick Cannon should opt for a cozy night in instead?
And she implies it was by ex-husband Tommy Mottola!
Mariah Careyrevealed on Larry King Live that she has also been affected by abuse in relationships:
"Abuse has several categories. Emotionally, mentally, in other ways. I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in — if your situation is similar to one of the situations I've been in, which I won't harp on. For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life."
"I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out and if I were just allowed to be young and with a young boyfriend who's also a star and you know, you're working and you're both — I don't know what goes on. You know what I mean? So it's like, I wasn't really allowed out of the house, so I can't imagine what she went through."
As for any baby news with hubby Nick Cannon, Mariah responded:
"Right now? I'm going to take a swig of my scotch and let you know. [Being pregnant] would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I'm saying is right now with this movie [Precious] coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I'm doing, I need to focus on that because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway. I wouldn't be just like, 'Oh, I'm having a child, yay! Let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby. Take the kid.' That doesn't work me. I don't believe in that."
Well that clears up those rumors…for now!
Sounds like she had a difficult marriage with Tommy Mottola, but we all know she's pretty pleased with current husband Nick. They're kind of a nauseating couple, but they do seem really happy.
Nick Cannon had his birthday party at club Bank in Las Vegas earlier this week and his wifey Mariah Carey got him a cake with a very personal message:
"Happy Birthday DJ Sex Fingers — Love, M.C.C."
BARF!
Mariah serenaded Nick with 3 of her songs and DJ Sex Fingers himself took over for the rest of the night.
Hope you crazy kids had fun, but PLEASE keep the cringeworthy pet names to yourselves!
Mariah Carey sure does love her gays. And the gays love her back!
On Saturday, during the last show of her residency at The Palms in Las Vegas, Mimi pulled out a special surprise when she brought a young, gay couple on stage.
That's when one of them took the mic and proposed to his partner!!!
And he even proposed a la Nick Cannon style, with a pink/purple candy ring.
He told Mimi that his partner of three years had once said he would only accept a marriage proposal if he ever got the chance to meet Mariah. And we guess he really wanted to get married cause he made it happen.
Mimi congratulated the couple and even shared some champagne with them on stage.
Probably not, but she's taking baby steps towards it.
During a recent interview, Mimi reveals she no longer demands to be only photographed from the right side.
Says Carey:
"I don't feel like, 'Oh, I have to be on this side, or I have to be on this side' — I really had specific things that someone told me when I was 19 starting in the business and I listened to them … I don't care anymore. Sometimes I like that [left] side — and Nick likes that side better anyway."
Funny. We thought she looked the same from both sides!
As for her role in her latest flick, Precious, Mimi claims, "By making me look so bad [the director] brought out the ability to never be self-conscious again, and that was a gift that he gave me."
And although Mimi denies the pregnancy rumors, claiming only, "Well, we enjoy practicing," she doesn't deny one day making a film with her hubby Nick Cannon.
According to Mariah, "We have to make sure the movie was a stone winner — otherwise they would kill us… It'd definitely have to be — our life is a comedy anyway."
