The official trailer for Big Little Lies just dropped, and HBO's limited series is pulling some of the biggest actors and filmmakers from the big screen away for a television even that looks compelling, chilling, and REALLY well shot!
However, before the breakup was publicly confirmed, The Ring actress apparently shared her decision to end things with the Ray Donovan actor to one close pal in particular. Yup, Naomi confided in Nicole KidmanWEEKS before the news hit the press. Well, well!
Nicole Kidman has come a long way since marrying Tom Cruise when she was 23 years old.
As you're probably aware, the 49-year-old married the Jack Reacher actor back in 1990 after meeting on the set of Days of Thunder. The couple, whose divorce was finalized in 2001, shares two adopted children — Isabella, now 23, and Connor, now 21.
Looking back, the Eyes Wide Shut star told the U.K.'s Red magazine:
"I was so young when I got married. I look back now and I'm like, 'What?'"
As you may recall, it's been reported quite a bit over the years that Nicole's relationship with her adopted children with Tom Cruise has supposedly been a turbulent one. In fact, following the 49-year-old's split from the Top Gun actor, Bella and Connor chose to live with Tom and follow his chosen religion Scientology.
Still, it seems Nicole and Bella have been able to put their differences aside as the duo reportedly had an "emotional" reunion in the United Kingdom recently. On the mother/daughter meet up, a source dished to Woman's Day:
"We booked the tour at the beginning of the year and June 25th was going to happen in Boston. And so, I said to Nic, 'I can't work on our anniversary and so maybe we'll play Boston another time.' And she said, 'What about I come up to Boston instead?' I said, 'That's a great plan.'"
Unfortunately, Nicole's filming schedule for Top of the Lake forced her to stay in Australia on their special day. Thankfully a few fans captured the adorable scene and posted it on Twitter (below)!
As you know, Patton's Oswalt's wife Michelle McNamarapassed away suddenly in April, and he still struggles to cope with the devastating loss.
Speaking with The Times, the stand-up comedian recounted the heartbreaking morning he found the true crime author had died in her sleep -- a day he says was the "the second worst day of his life," the first being when he had to tell the couple's seven-year-old daughter, Alice, that her mother had passed.
Oswalt recalled telling his wife -- who had been working long hours investigating "The Golden State Killer" -- to "sleep until you wake up." So, McNamara took some Xanax and went to bed.
