MTV's Video Music Awards will go where no awards show has gone before!!

In true hipster fashion, the VMA's will be moving to Brooklyn, New York and take place at Barclay's Center.

This will mind the FIRST EVER awards show to take place in the flannel-wearing heaven that are the boroughs of Brooklyn!

President of MTV, Stephen Friedland, explained:

Everybody Needs a Best Friend, it's true!

And we think we found ours!!

We choose Norah Jones! She's absolutely AH-mazing and so was her Oscar performance, with those silky vocals of hers!

Norah hit the stage at this year's ceremony, and while it's pretty hard to follow Adele, she managed to pull it off!

Norah Jones might have the voice of an angel, but she has the hair of a high school prom girl.

While we're totally looking forward to her performing Everybody Needs a Best Friend from Ted at the Oscars, we're not as excited about her red carpet look.

Norah chose a silver Tadashi Shoji dress that definitely added some sparkle to the red carpet.

Unfortunately, it didn't make her sparkle.

Hopefully, she brings it with her performance and makes up for this red carpet blunder.

Adele will host a James Bond orgy with her special tribute performance of Skyfall; we hear Beyoncé and the Les Miz cast may grace the stage as part of a movie musical spectacle, AND Norah Jones is set to sing her adorable Ted theme song!

Belting out our fave movie themes in SO much effing jubilation!

Nope! We know that’s totally what you thought, but Norah Jones is actually bringing Ted the teddy bear to the Oscars.

Well, sort of…

Norah will be performing the Oscar-nominated song from Ted at the award show.

That’s right, in case you missed it, a song from Ted is nominated for an Oscar!

The music world has sadly lost one of its greats.

Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitar maestro who gained worldwide fame for his collaborations with The Beatles, as well as being the father of Norah Jones, passed away last week after he was admitted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego and failed to fully recover from surgery.

He was 92.

His wife, Sukanya, and his other daughter, Anoushka, said in a statement:
