Those are milk mustaches!

The Today host and her two lovely daughters will be starring in an upcoming "Got Milk?" commercial, so they've put on the iconic white 'staches! Katie says:

"It was really fun to have my daughters be a part of this.

We're very, very close, and one of the messages I've tried to convey to them ever since they were little was the importance of eating healthy and eating the right nutrients and having a good breakfast.

And milk really is a part of our daily routine."

The View Talks Proposed Obesity Tax!

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikFoodHealthObeseMelissa Joan HartNutrition

The ladies of The View got fired up, as they so often do, over a sensitive issue: sin taxes.

These "sin taxes" are basically taxes on things like sugary soft drinks that are meant to discourage people from buying them.

The whole idea is that obese people tend to buy less healthy foods and their obesity racks up billions of dollars in healthcare.

Melissa Joan Hart was there as a guest host but barely got a word in because things started to get a little heated.

The main problem is that some of the more unhealthy foods are actually way cheaper than the healthy stuff.

So a family on a budget could really run into some trouble with these proposed taxes.

Check out the video (above) to hear the ladies of The View tackle sin taxes.

Natural Healing With Nutritional Therapy!

Justin Janoska 1

Everyone, we'd like for you to meet Justin Janoska with IronClad In Home! Shake hands. SHAKE!

Good!

Now that we're all best friends, Justin wants you to know about Nutritional Therapy!

Here's what he says:

I would like to briefly discuss a topic many people are unaware of called Orthomolecular Nutrition, a branch of Naturopathy. It’s the science of providing the body with natural substances that are innate to the environment with the objective of curing illnesses and more importantly, preventing them from the start. The majority of the public resorts to too many pharmaceutical drugs to treat an illness; whether it’d be a cold, flu or asthma to name a few. Orthomolecular medicine involves a holistic approach of treating the person instead, which is much safer and effective for longevity. This alternative is often discounted by the media and surprisingly most doctors (likely including your own) simply because it’s free information.

But, think about it…

Where’s the profit for a pharmaceutical company in curing an illness with vitamins? No prescription is needed for vitamins. Clearly, there’s a need for drugs in our society, but there is also a definite fear of taking too many vitamins. The reality is vitamins are safe, very effective and imperative for optimal health. What I am proposing is to consider a new perspective on restoring your health and learn how eliminating vitamin and mineral deficiencies through proper diet and nutrients can do wonders for your health.

The public’s diet is notoriously poor due to the evident cascade of foods consumed that are ubiquitously processed and high in saturated fats and sugar. Consequently, vitamin deficiencies are prevalent and increase the chance of developing chronic illnesses. The Journal of the American Medical Association is aware of this and strongly advises that everyone take a multi-vitamin. But don’t just stop there, reinforcing your immune system with a diet rich in vegetables, fruits and unprocessed foods is equally essential.

Vitamin supplementation should be included in everyone’s diet, but additional vitamin specific supplements can be necessary, especially when you are indisposed. The right quantity and combination of vitamins can treat and/or cure many diseases from allergies to cancer.

Not convinced? Then, I recommend visiting orthomolecular.org where you can read published clinical trials and scientifically based evidence that demonstrate nutritional therapies efficacy.

Hopefully, this will give you a new perspective on vitamins, a new outlook on what you decide to eat and an interest in understanding how changes in your diet can create immense positive results for your body and heath.
