Well, this is a definite step down from The Wackness (good film).

Mary-Kate Olsen is slated to star in a crappy remake of Beauty and the Beast entitled Beastily.

The movie itself sounds like it could be kind of cool, but some idiot decided to cast Vanessa Hudgens as the lead. And she's not the beast!

Terrible decisions all around.

MKO will be playing the ditched date of the leading man, and thus she puts a spell on him to make him super fugly.

Then, he stays like that until he finds true love with Vadge.

So, not only is MKO doing this crap, she isn't even the lead?

Don't you have a billion dollar empire? Please explain to us why you are doing this travesty?

Didn't the Olsen twins retire from acting years ago?

Well, MK's been dabbling in the thespian world, with roles on Weeds and in little-seen indie movies. But Ashley is done with that acting shiz!

In the new issue of VMAN magazine, Ash opens up about her life, her oh-so-important sense of style, and her "career".

So, what's she got in store for the future? More fashion and less acting.

Says the 22-year-old, “I’ve been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I’m choosing for myself-to be part of the fashion industry. That’s what I want for my future. It has nothing to do with my past, nothing to do with anyone else’s agenda. And I followed my heart the whole way."

And here comes the burn to those "celebs" with their own clothing brands - as Ashley has a real fashion line, or so she claims.

Olsen says, "But the outside perception is very different because you do have celebrity brands, people like Jessica Simpson and Kimora Lee Simmons, and those are celebrity brands because they have their names on it."

As for Mary-Kate Olsen, she's not giving up her hopes of finally becoming a good actress.

Ashley reveals that her fashion line, The Row, "is really something that I’m doing while my sister still wants to focus on acting. She’s my partner in The Row, but she trusts me with the everyday. I mean, I see her like ten times a day.”

It's a good thing we still have our Olsen DVD collection. Time to go watch Holiday in the Sun again!

Seems that Kiefer Sutherland challenged his inner "Jack Bauer" Monday night.

According to reports, Kiefer attended an after-party for the Met Ball at SubMercer. It was there that onlookers, such as Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst, watched Kiefer HEADBUTT designer Jack McCollough. In fact, he hit him so hard, he broke his nose!!!

Whoa now!

The actor was reportedly upset over Brooke Shields.

Really? Why?

Mary-Kate & Ashley must have the Dark Lord of the Underworld working on their side because the twins' high-end clothing line Elizabeth and James is thriving!

Seriously???

The Olsens try "to keep everything under $1,000" and have attracted the attention of big name celebs such as Heidi Klum, Beyonce and Rihanna, all spotted wearing button-ups from the twins' line.

Both Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's and Kitson in Los Angeles have reported phenomenal sales for the twins' rags, with the senior VP fashion director at Neiman Marcus calling the line a "bright spot" in dismal season for sales!

Ashley and Mary-Kate are now in talks with footwear giant Steve Madden to design a shoe line as well as a menswear line planned for the fall.

If you're not a trust-fund baby, good luck on trying to afford any pieces from the line!

Elizabeth and James' lowest priced item is a one-shoulder cotton tank for $95, with a leather jacket going for $775 and dresses ranging from $225-$475!!!

We'll pass!

Amazing!

Mary-Kate Olsen ditched the furs for a classic black ensemble at the Metropolitan Opera 125th anniversary gala in New York on Sunday night and looked absolutely gorgeous while doing so.

LOVE the hair and makeup!

This is the best we've ever seen Olsen look, in fact!!

For those of you who care, the Olsen twins' clothing line, Elizabeth and James, has rolled out its Spring 2009 collection online.

It falls short of spectacular.

And, a lot of the stuff seems soooooo overpriced for what it is!

We have a feeling that many of you have more important things to buy than a pair of $250 shorts.

Just sayin'!

On Thursday, Mary-Kate Olsen gave PETA and other animal rights activists across the world another one-fingered salute.

She hit the Belvedere IX party in NY in some sort of animal fur.
