At Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville, Washington, a brand new baby orphan Opossum moved in!
The little baby was a hand raised rescue
The internet is a crazy place for crazy people to watch other crazy people's videos.
This video is no exception.
A woman reads opossum themed poetry to her opossum while occasionally slamming bongos.
We have no idea what's going on but the opossum is cute so we recommend just strapping in and staring at the opossum.
Whoa! Look at that guy go!
That opossum is carving down the mountain like a pro.
We have no idea how someone finds out that their opossum can snowboard.
But do we care?
Nope. We just want to see more opossums in cute sweaters tearing up a mountain on their snowboard.
It's like the skateboarding bulldog but even crazier and surprisingly cuter!
They successfully stopped the turkey drop from happening back before Thanksgiving, and now PETA's set their sights on the New Year's Opossum drop.
In North Carolina, in a small mountain town, every New Year's for 18 years, they drop a opossum in a transparent box, just as the ball drops in Times Square.
PETA says that the tradition is cruel and illegal.
They make it seem like an opossum is just chucked off a 40-foot ledge.
But the opossum is only slowly lowered from 18-feet up.
The person in charge of the opossum drop said:
"It's a lot of good clean family fun. No alcohol. We advertise it as the only New Year's party you'll remember the next day no matter how much fun you had."
The opossum drop drives a lot of people into the otherwise quiet, 250 resident town.
"It fills the place up. On a warm night, it's about 3,000 people. If it's cold, maybe 2,000."
PETA has sent a letter asking that they use a taxidermic animal, like in Tallapoosa, Georgia.
A PETA rep said:
"The great thing about Tallapoosa is that they don't use a live possum. They use a taxidermied possum."
Guess we'll have to wait and see if PETA can sway the townsfolk and stop the drop.

Now she's really made it!
Heidi, a cross-eyed opossum, who has become the biggest American-born star to hit Germany since The Hasselhoff, now has sweet new digs to for her fame.
Heidi and her sister, Naira, were raised as a foundling in a SC wild animal station before moving to the Leipzig Zoo in, 2010 — have now been moved into a special exhibit at the zoo called the Gondwanaland Tropical Experience World!
Although a Leipzig Zoo spokesman insisted to the Local that the "media resonance was surprising and not planned," it has nevertheless moved to protect the rights to her name and cross-eyed image - believed to be the result of pressure on her eyes created by fatty deposits.
The zoo says the squint doesn't hurt Heidi and, certainly, her popularity won't hurt the zoo's bottom line.
Heidi the Cross-Eyed Possum may soon overtake the legend of Paul the Psychic Octopus.
Last week Heidi appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and correctly predicted the Best Actor and Best Actress Winners!!!!
Let's take Heidi to Vegas!
