Disney Star Rowan Blanchard Joins The Battle For Gender Equality In Hollywood — 'We Shouldn't Be Taken Less Seriously Because We're In Dresses'
Shut the front door… Rowan Blanchard is 13 years old?!
You would never know it based on her extensive knowledge of not just fashion — but gender equality in Hollywood!
"On a red carpet, the only thing I'm often asked is, 'Who are you wearing?' And my co-stars, my friends who are older, even much older, really accomplished actresses who I admire—it's the same story. For a guy, the first question is, 'What drew you to this project?' And it's like, come on! I want to wear cool clothes. I love fashion. We all do. But we shouldn't be taken less seriously because we're in dresses. You can be a kick a-s-s feminist—sorry, I know it's not technically a swear but still!—but you can contribute to the fight against objectification and be wearing your favorite designer. At the end of the day, it's about equality."
So good! She is so wise beyond her years — and we love it!
Although the rising star is a self-proclaimed feminist, that doesn't mean she can't be passionate about fashion — it's just not all she wants to talk about:
"I'm happy to talk about what I'm wearing. It's cool to spotlight a new designer on the runway, and to contribute to the fashion world that I love. It's a very special thing I get to do. But don't make my story, and who I am, be my dress, while my male co-star's story is how he picks scripts and gets inspired. Why not ask me that, too? Ask me work questions, too! Ask me about my life! And trust me, guy actors love to talk about what they're wearing. You know what, ask them about their hair."
There she goes again, making Meryl Streep proud…
So what's the most shocking question Rowan's received on the red carpet?
"Someone recently asked if I had any dieting tips for other teenage girls. Try and reverse that. 'Do you have any dieting tips for other teenage boys?' … I don't diet! I'm thirteen! Nobody my age should be dieting or trying to change themselves because society says so. And seriously, I'm thirteen! The only 'dieting tip' I have is, like, 'if you don't order fries, you'll probably be mad.'"
How inspiring to see such a young talent addressing such important topics! The future is looking brighter already.
"It's inappropriate on so many levels. That makes other girls hate themselves or have eating disorders. We have to change all this."
She's so cool — we want to be just like her when we grow up!
And heads up, if you haven't seen the hit show, you might want to tune in October 9 for a special surprise from Perez! ;)

Disney Is Making A Sequel To Enchanted For Some Reason — Find Out The Name Of The Live-Action/Animated Movie HERE!
We guess there was a really high demand for a sequel to the first movie back in 2007.
Enchanted charmed audiences with its self-parodying music techniques 8 years ago, and now it looks like Disney wants to go back to the live-action and animated world!
That's because it was announced on Tuesday that the House of Mouse was working on a sequel to the original film entitled Disenchanted!
There's no word yet on whether or not Amy Adams will be reprising her role as Giselle, but we do know that she's interested.
Maybe this time around Disney will actually pay her for her likeness though…
You'll have to wait a while before Disenchanted can warm your hearts in theaters, however, because they're only in the very early stages of development on the film.
Are U excited for Enchanted 2??

Nick Jonas might be a heartthrob to some — but to his niece Alena he's just "Uncle Geek."
On Sunday, the Chains singer couldn't help but gush about his niece in an interview before his concert at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Florida.
"I'm having such a great time with this beautiful little girl. We like to walk through a toy store and I buy her whatever she wants. She is so sweet. She calls me Uncle Geek because she can't yet say Nick!"
However, due to work demands, the Scream Queens actor is unable to see the newest member of the Jonas clan as often as he would like! But he still tries to FaceTime his extended family while he's traveling. LOVES it!
What a beautiful moment!
Z took to Instagram, writing on one photo:
"When I was little I couldn't find a Barbie that looked like me, my…how times have changed. Thank you @barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty. Can't wait to keep doing amazing things with you😘😘😘#besuper @luxurylaw @theshelbyswain"
While the powerful statement obviously wasn't lost on the 19-year-old, it also caught the eye of the ultimate Barbie, Nicki Minaj!
She took to social media on Sunday, saying:
