Upper East siders were not the only people DYING to know Gossip Girl's true identity!

As we all know, and hate, last night The CW's deliciously dramatic series took it's final bow. It's kinda the most depressing news ever — BUT, there is some good news!

TONZ tuned in to see if Blair and Chuck ended up together, if Little J would EVER return, and of course, who the hell was actually writing that nasty blog!

The finale scored the network a total of 1.5 million viewers, and a massive bump in the target demo.

Clearly, the fans tuned in. But the real question is: did they like how it all ended??

MORNING, UPPER EAST SIDERS…

Sigh. To think… we'll never hear those words freshly said again! The sorrow! The horror! The devastation!

Unless of course this movie thing actually happens! And from the looks of last night's hints, a big-screen Gossip Girl moment could turn out to be a dream come true!

Last night, we fell deeply in love with the best fifteen minutes of television history.*

As the show that New York Magazine once called the "BEST. SHOW. EVER." came to a close, the identity of the mistress behind the New York elite's biggest secrets was finally revealed.

And oooo was it satisfying!!

Hoping for something with less plot holes, we shed our light away from the thoughts swirling around on who the REAL mystery writer turned out to be.

But alas… a main character it turned out to be indeed!

We can't believe it's finally here!

After six SCANDALOUS years following the lives of Manhattan's elite, the end of Gossip Girl is upon us, and we've been fighting back the tears all day just THINKING about it!

Not to mention the anticipation of FINALLY discovering not only the romantic resolutions of Chuck and Blair or Dan and Serena, but the long-awaited identity of the series' namesake!

WHO could it be?!

Nate's missing bangs?! Katie Cassidy?! Little J?! Dorota?! Our beloved Georgina?!

Gah! Our head is exploding with POSSIBILITIES!

Luckily, executive producer Stephanie Savage has opened up about the creative process behind resolving some of these long-awaited mysteries, so maybe certain perceptive readers can decipher some clues in here:

It's been a beautiful ride in this shiny black limo.

But tonight, Gossip Girl will bid farewell to its fans (which totally includes us FYI).

Gossip Girl is coming to an END this Monday night.

And a snapshot from the last scene ever shot has been REVEALED!!!

The options have been narrowed!

And boy are they intriguing!!

While we highly doubt Gossip Girl is one of the main four (too much explaining to do), they have all been grouped into the pool of final possibilities!

Also grouped in??

Penelope! But strangely enough, none of the other minions… hmm…

Juliet's in there too… which is VERY interesting!!!

We're definitely thinking it's one of those two.

Or maybe Dorota! Or maybe Eric!

And Little J could have totally made all of those blasts about herself just for the attention! Ha!
