Demi Lovato recently revealed that her precious puppy, Buddy, had passed away last weekend because of a tragic accident. When she broke the news to her fans on Twitter, the singer explained that she and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama were struggling to cope during the tough time, and asked that their privacy be respected while they grieve.
Well now, Demi is sharing on social media, once again, about the terrible tragedy — but this time to offer her sincerest gratitude to all the Lovatics who have shown their support for the devastated couple.
On Friday, the singer posted a touching tribute on Instagram to her beloved Bud, and thanked her followers for all their kind words:
"We can't thank you all enough. This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I've been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time. The out pour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and ton…"
So, what is it about this adorable babe that has such a firm grip on all our hearts? Well, it's probably this Shar-Pei's uncanny resemblance to a cute and cuddly teddy bear!
Tonkey Bear lives in Edmonton, Alberta with her owner, Christine Park, who admits that she never expected her pooch's Insta profile would get so popular, saying:
"I created Tonkey her own Instagram account for the sole purpose of making friends myself. The way it was supposed to go down: post photo of cute dog, cute dog attracts good-looking friends, good-looking friends want to hang out with me."
Well, the sweet doggy made a few (thousand) friends of her own, including her big sister, Maxi. See how PAW-dorable they are together:
"We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday. He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we are staying strong."
Our hearts are breaking for the pop star and her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. But, the 22-year-old added that their loved ones are helping them through this tough time:
"We have incredible people around us and so much love and support which is holding us up in this time of need. Buddy was loved by so many people and as small as he was, he made a huge impact in our lives. He truly was human in a way and we were so blessed to have him in our lives."
Demi got Buddy as a gift last year, and shared this sweet snap when he entered her life:
Now, the professional hunter who accompanied the dentist on the July 1 hunt is speaking out, and he says that "the hunt went wrong from the beginning!"
On Wednesday, Theo Bronkhorst gave a detailed account of the hunt to officials. The Bulawayo native is forbidden from continuing his hunting business which he's run since 1992, and is devastated by the outrage directed at him for Cecil's death.
Though, Bronkhorst's account of the hunt makes it sound like there was a lot of confusion surrounding Dr. Palmer's trip. He explained:
"When Dr Palmer arrived in Bulawayo, his luggage was missing and I was dashing around looking for it. So we were late getting ready to go. And we were never meant to hunt on the land where this lion was shot. At the last minute I had to divert from a concession [hunting area] about eight miles away."
Bronkhorst explained that, on the night of July 1, he was accompanied by
