Quick Tip Of The Day

| Filed under: Eva LongoriaFashion SmashionKim KardashianQuick Tip of the DayChristina Pombo

Leather can be intimidating. It's certainly not for the faint of heart!

However, there are ways to wear it without feeling like a dominatrix or a member of Hell's Angels.

Check out some tips from style maven Christina Pombo on how to do leather right:

"A must-have for your New Year wardrobe is leather! If you’re not used to this sleek and sexy look, I would recommend starting with a leather jacket. Over a flirty dress or with your skinny jeans and a tee you can’t go wrong. Then get your sexy back by moving towards leather pants or shorts. But keep it classy, ladies! Pair it with a sophisticated top much like Kim Kardashian and Eva Longoria."

So the next time you want to spice up your wardrobe, remember these tips from Christina, and rock that leather, baby!

Quick Tip Of The Day: Glamorous Pin-Up Style!

marcy guevara pinup style tips

Beauty and style maven Marcy Guevara has some awesome advice for those of you desperate for the fierce & fabulous burlesque look a la Dita Von Teese!

Check out her suggestions (below) and try out the vintage glam style for yourself!

As a woman who loves all things glamour and fashion, I have always loved dressing up! One of the trends that I envy is the pin-up girl look. Who doesn’t want to get all Dita Von Teese’d out? Except I usually feel more sham than glam in this look so I enlisted the help of some fabulous friends to compose some tips for achieving the pin up look without looking like you’re ready for Halloween.

Tip 1: Curl Power

Michelline Pitt, stylist & pin up guru, suggests soft curls instead of the typical victory rolls we all envision when we think of pin up. "Often girls go for victory rolls and that was not a common hair style worn during the era. Luscious curls that shape your face, giving you that perfect Hollywood glam look."

Closet Staples Vs. Trends: Do U Know The Difference???

| Filed under: Exclusives!Fashion SmashionQuick Tip of the Day

neon-fashion-tips.jpg

Hi CocoPerezers!! Today I want to discuss the importance of both closet staples and trendy pieces.

First off, you CANNOT have a functioning wardrobe without a few key items- black dress pants, white tailored button down shirt, dark denim, white denim, camisoles, nude thongs, and shoes. Many many shoes in black & nude in different heel heights. Ok, maybe you don't need thousands of shoes, but the more the merrier!

Once you have your foundation of fashion, you may now add color and accessories. Let's use the neon trend for example: If you want to wear your button down and dark denim, add a neon pink skinny belt, a few gold bangles, and gold hoops to really make the outfit stand out. You'll look classy and rich and everything you want to be when you see your fav celeb. Don't we all strive to look like a celeb??

Anyhoo, make sure your use of the trend is MINIMAL and please don't wear more than two trends at once!

Mix 'N Match Patterns & Prints Without Looking Cray

| Filed under: Exclusives!Fashion SmashionQuick Tip of the Day

leila-wolford-dishes-tips-on-prints-and-patterns.jpg

Hello gorgeous fashion babies! I have some really important info for you regarding the use of patterns and prints and how to wear them together without looking like a crazy lady on the street.

We are so very blessed to be living in a time where it is not only acceptable, but COOL to mix and match different prints and patterns.

One of the main rules is to make sure the pieces you are mixing either COMPLIMENT each other OR are in the same color family as each other aka monochromatic. This means you put a printed pink tone top with a patterned fuchsia bottom. You don't want them to clash, so if you're worried about it, try wearing a printed dress with a different pattern bracelet or a less-extreme combo until you feel fully confident in your mixing and matching abilities! Just have fun, and remember that CONFIDENCE is what really sells your outfit.

Quick Tip Of The Day

Sleep is an essential ingredient in looking and feeling your best. A minimum of nine hours of sleep each night should be your goal.  Between hour eight and nine is when your body is rebuilding muscle so it is a crucial hour to be sleeping.  When you are well rested it will also show on your face with a refreshed look, and your skin, hair and nails will look fabulous too.  If you have trouble falling asleep, don't watch TV or work on your computer just before bed.  Studies show it is best to have an electronic curfew an hour before bed or else the light exposure before you try and fall asleep can throw off your body's rhythms and suppress the release of melatonin, which is the hormone that is vital to a good night's sleep.

The best way to protect your beautiful skin and keep a youthful glow is to wear sunscreen. Celebrities love ATZEN skincare and their Ultra Moisturizing Sun Block which is made of natural ingredients and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. Even if the sun isn't out in full force, you are still at risk to get burned by the damaging effects of UV rays so be safe and take great care of your beautiful face.

Quick Tips Of The Independence Day

natalia-fedner-4th-of-july-fashionable-tips.jpg

Our lovely contributor Natalia Fedner has compiled a list of things you need to know to have the most faboosh 4th of July ever! Check them out!

DOs and DON'Ts for a Fashionable Fourth of July:

Do wear red, white, and blue. These colors look great together and just happen to be USA's flag colors.

Don't wear an an American flag shirt unless you're an elementary school teacher. Opt for more subtle patriotism.

Do go for the pinup look - short red shorts/skirt and a blue-and-white striped sailor T or tank. Pair the look with pearl earrings and a flirty ponytail.

Don't forget your sunblock. Red should should be the color you wear, not are.

Don't get stripy with the self-tanner. I recommend L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Gelee for a non-streak look.

Do bring a pair of flip-flops and a pair of fashionable shoes. That way you can chase the parade candy during the day and look all sorts of sexy at night.

Don't wear white bottoms. On a holiday where candy is strewn about and the grills are a-cooking, there's bound to be some gum/tootsie roll/spilled drink that you'll inevitably sit on.

Do have an extra pair of sunglasses on hand. Someone wearing white shorts will probably sit on your first pair.

Do take a moment to contemplate the awesome country that you live in which gives you the freedom to choose what you wear.

And I'm not forgetting about all of you international peeps. If you're not in the States, you can still have fun celebrating a Fashionable Fourth, by wearing your favorite patriotic American designer like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, or Calvin Klein. Or just wear something from the Gap. I won't judge. Okay, maybe I'll judge a little. Wear something fashionable from the Gap.
