R. Kelly's Fond Memory Of Going To McDonald's With His Mom Takes An Uncomfortable Turn As He Declares He Had A 'Serious, Serious' Crush On Her
Well this is uncomfortable.
The I Believe I Can Fly singer was abused by a family member from the time he was seven until he was 15, and even discussed the incidences in his memoir Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me. Though the 49-year-old did not identify the female relative that took advantage of him, the Ignition performer did recount a memory about going to McDonald's with his mother.
Unfortunately, what we assume was supposed to be a fond memory just kind of came off creepy since the Chicago native declared that he had a "serious, serious crush" on his momma.
R. Kelly Opens Up On Bill Cosby's Sexual Assault Allegations & Declares Only God Can Prove His Guilt
R. Kelly's logic has always been a little bit… off.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, the singer opened up on Bill Cosby's numerous sexual assault allegations and how he feels about the charges against the comedian. Needless to say, the sit down was all over the place and very R. Kelly.
What makes the confessional even more inneresting is Kelly's past with child pornography.
For those who don't remember, back in 2002 a videotape surfaced of the now 49-year-old reportedly engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl. While cops found additional images of the minor in R.'s home, 21 charges of child pornography were dropped in 2008 due to "reasonable doubt" stemming over the identities of the people in the video.
Essentially, the father was let off because a jury couldn't tell for sure whether or not it was him in the heinous clip.
Considering the Chicago native's background, GQ questioned him on Cosby's innocence to which he replied:
This is one of the most awkward things we've seen in all of 2015!
R. Kelly sat down with Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani of the Huffington Post on Monday to promote his new album The Buffet and needless to say… those were some of the most painful 20 minutes of our lives.
The R&B singer's latest record is projected to sell a whopping 100K fewer copies than his 2013 album Black Panties. Tehrani read the musician a tweet in which a fan felt conflicted by scandal in the singer's personal life and enjoying his music.
When asked about how he believes the sexual abuse allegations are affecting his album sales, Kelly responded:
"I say f*ck that. I say I have a lot of fans around the world that love R. Kelly and I'm glad that they don't feel the way she do, God bless her. But you can't satisfy everybody and you're not gonna always have everybody to hold you down you know… I'm just glad to know that everybody doesn't feel the way that she does."
Tehrani questioned further on the subject:
R. Kelly's Show-Closing Performance At The Soul Train Awards Sparked A Heated Online Debate! Where Do YOU Stand??
R. Kelly performed at the Soul Train Awards, closing the show on Sunday night and as usual bringing down the house.
But it appears the singer may have (finally?) worn out his welcome amongst a sizable portion of the public, judging by a flurry of online debate.
Kelly, of course, was charged and tried in Illinois back in the mid-2000s for crimes relating to sex with an underage girl.
In 2008, he was eventually found not guilty on all 14 counts in a jury trial at the end of a long legal battle, but it didn't stop fans on social media from questioning his position as a public figure this weekend.
As for Sunday's performance itself, Kelly wasn't specifically controversial. See clips (below):

R. Kelly's career seems to be on a STEEP downward spiral!
The latest dramz comes from Ohio. Who would've thought??! LOLz!
When the singer was announced as a headliner for Labor Day weekend's Fashion Meets Music Festival, fest-goers freaked out SO much that organizers pulled him from the lineup this morning.
We definitely aren't shocked by the backlash! It is difficult to support a man who has been
