Holly Chugg Jones and Julian Light suffered an awful tragedy when their dog Dobby fell off a cliff in the UK!!
They had to go home, sad and alone, after they searched but found no sign of their dearest doggy.
Jones said:
"The coastguard were there within 15 minutes but it was getting dark and so we had to go back to the campsite although I didn't want to leave. I didn't sleep a wink, I was so upset. The next morning the search started again but there was nothing we could do but sit in our car and watch. It was awful. I kept imagining Dobby dead in a ditch or washed out to sea."
Then, miraculously two days later, a lifeboat crew found the one-year-old pup!

In Florida, in the Everglades, a dog rescue foundation called 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida is doing whatever they can to help lost pups.
It's a sad fact that some people are heartless monsters and simply abandon their dogs when they no longer feel like caring for them.
Amy Roman is the founder of the rescue operation and her nonprofit group has rescued over 700 dogs and 40 cats since September 2011.

Jackie Sharp lost her beloved kitty cat, Dallas, back in 2000.
He was three-years-old when he disappeared by a creek near her home in Petaluma, CA.
Here's what Jackie had to say about losing her pet:

Miranda Lambert is a real mensch!
The Oklahoma native has done everything she can to help the victims of the tornado that mainly ripped through Moore, Oklahoma. Now her help is extending to the furry victims, too!
The singer has dispatched veterinarians associated with the MuttNation Foundation, which Lambert started in 2009, to the town of Moore where they will set up shop to help injured dogs and cats in the area.
The temporary shelters were set up on Wednesday, and Lambert is very happy to do her part.
Here's what she tweeted:

We have no idea how some people can be so cruel!
The Michigan Humane Society just rescued over 150 dogs from an unlicensed breeding facility.
The poor pups were taken from JRT John’s Jack Russell and Shiba Inu Kennel in Lake City, Michigan.

Ricky Gervais is a kind-hearted, caring man who also just happens to be crazy HIGHlarious!
Ricky has worked with the WSPA, Cruelty Free International and PETA.
So he's a huuuuge animal rights supporter and activist. But how can he best help out his animal buddies??

Awww isn't appropriate for this story.
We're going to have to go with the all caps AWWW!!!
A dog was found and subsequently rescued along a creek in South Carolina, but it might have been the dog who was doing all the rescuing.
The dog was nursing a kitten at the bottom of an embarkment near the creek, and is believed to have been there with the kitty cat for at least two days!
