The BET Awards do not forget their past!

This year, they're honoring music legend Smokey Robinson with the Lifetime Achievement Award!

Tori Kelly, Robin Thicke, and Ne-Yo all took the stage to perform the legend's hits in a mellow medley honoring the lead Miracle.

And when he went up on stage to accept the award, Mr. Robinson made sure to say a prayer to the big man upstairs, while thanking everyone who helped him get to this point.

But the best part was at the end when Smokey couldn't help but perform his songs too!

The motion also claims that they felt there was not enough evidence to support a ruling that Blurred Lines was similar in sound to Marvin Gaye's Got to Give it Up.
