Getting him out of his shell!
Meghan Markle reportedly has a lot of pull over Prince Harry, and according to insiders, it was she who finally got him to open up so much about his mental health issues and the pain of losing his mother. A source close to the royal said:
"Harry feels for Meghan partly because she's so open, and has that American attitude of saying, 'Let's talk about our feelings.' He comes from such a stiff-upper-lip culture, but Meghan helped him open up."
That, or it was the 32-year-old's involvement with the mental health charity Heads Together that prompted him to talk about his own issues. Maybe both? Hmm.
The source added:
Kate Middleton and Prince William visited BBC 1 Radio! You guys, they're so surprisingly normal!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on the show Friday, where they surprised DJ Adele Roberts, who is running the London Marathon for the royals' mental health charity Heads Together.
While on the show, they of course spoke about mental health, but William then addressed the controversy regarding his recent boys' trip to Switzerland where he was seen busting some moves in a club! It even supposedly got him into some troubs with Kate!
William brought the whole thing up himself, saying:
"I've gotten into enough trouble with my dancing recently, so it's kind of best to keep away from that."
Ha! Guess he keeps up on all the tabloid gossip about himself!
Some other fun facts about the couple — they love to
We continue to be awed by the royals' commitment to mental health awareness!
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry are so devoted to Heads Together, the campaign that seeks to help people have conversations around mental health and also help overcome the stigma associated with it.
In a new video, the three join together to have their own conversation about the campaign, and reveal a lot of personal information in the process.
Harry and William, for example, reveal that they've never properly discussed Princess Diana's death and how it affected them, with William saying:
"Even Harry and I over the years have not talked enough about our mother."
Echoing that sentiment, Harry added:
She's almost there!
Meghan Markle is already being treated like any other member of the royal family. Must be nice!
According to Us Weekly reports, the Suits star is "waved right through" when going through the gates of Kensington Palace. A source said:
"Harry has made it clear she's to be treated like everyone else who lives there."
Awwwwwww! And maybe very soon she WILL be living there! *fingers crossed*
Apparently, the 35-year-old is also close to Prince Harry's private secretary, Edward Lane Fox, and communications secretary, Jason Knauf, who are often right there to help answer any of the actress' questions about royal protocol.
The source explained:
"There have been many times where Meghan's been unsure of protocol, and having access to Harry's aides has been a godsend."
Hmm, we wonder what Meg's been curious about! Maybe she needed to send a thank-you note to Her Majesty or something!
The conversation continues.
Shortly after Prince Harry revealed he struggled with mental health issues following the death of his mother, Princess Diana, back in 1997 — Lady GaGa joined a chat with Prince William to discuss his family's Heads Together campaign.
The outspoken celeb, who has been open about her own similar struggles, FaceTimed the royal at his desk in Kensington Palace from her kitchen in El Lay in a video released on social media Tuesday.
The two got to talking about how they can join forces to "make the strongest, most relentless attempt we can to normalize mental health issues" — and even set up a time in October to meet in person in the U.K.! What an amazing collab!
