Michelle Obama Dons A Purple Oscar De La Renta Dress While Visiting The Queen — Is This A Subtle Tribute To Prince??

Michelle Obama

A vision in purple!

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama visited Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at the Windsor Castle on Friday for a belated birthday luncheon celebrating her Majesty.

And while we know FLOTUS has one of the most well-planned wardrobes on the planet — we can't help but wonder if Michelle's embroidered magenta and violet Oscar de la Renta dress is somehow a tribute to yesterday's passing of Prince.

As you know, the Purple Rain music legend died on Thursday in his Minnesota home. Many fans and colleagues have been honoring the late musician by wearing his signature color — purple.

Whether or not there's a connection here, the 52-year-old stunned in this colorful ensemble that was paired with black kitten heels, a black clutch, and a Narciso Rodriguez coat.

Meanwhile, the President looked classic in a black suit with a blue striped tie.

As for the birthday princess Queen, the 90-year-old dressed in a pale blue/lavender suit and her signature pearls.

What a royal affair!

The Obama's are scheduled for a visit with Prince William and Kate Middleton later tonight, so we can't WAIT to see what fashion is in store for us!

Long live the Queen!

In honor of Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday, the British monarch posed alongside her two youngest grandchildren and her five great grandchildren — obviously, including Prince William and Kate Middleton's kiddos Prince George and Princess Charlotte. LOVES it!

The family portrait was taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. FABOOSH!

We're not surprised to see Will and Kate's youngest on the Windsor House's matriarch's lap as the Duchess of Cambridge previously hinted that the tiny tot is a favorite of the Queen. In the special, The Queen at Ninety, Kate dished:

"I think she is very fond of Charlotte, always watching what she's up to."

Too cute! However, the little ones weren't the only royals to pose alongside the famous royal as Miz Leibovitz also took pics of Her Majesty with her daughter Princess Anne — oh, and with her corgis too.

Luckily for us, Buckingham Palace reps have since shared the new photos on Instagram (below).

What a special moment!

Prince Charles and Prince William sit tall next to the Queen, but clearly all eyes are on the adorable two-year-old. Standing on a set of blocks, while clutching his dad's hand, George could not be cuter!!

It's almost too much to handle, especially with the little tot dressed in a white button-up, matching shorts, and knee-high socks. Plus, he's a natural in front of the camera!

We have a feeling this special set of stamps is going to go FAST.

Hmm, we wonder if the royals will infuse some Indian cuisine into the meal — they did just get back from an epic trip to the country, after all!

In the announcement, Kate and Will's reps' gushed:

"Their Royal Highnesses are very much looking forward to welcoming President and Mrs. Obama to Kensington Palace."

Should be a blast! Considering the prince and his bro Prince Harry visited POTUS a few times before, it makes sense they'd return the favor.

To make the situation even sweeter, the Obamas will also pay a visit to Elizabeth II and Prince Philip for lunch.

Can't wait for the pics! Travel safe, you two!

Guess with all the photo ops, they just wanted to look ready. LOLz!

Just to make the envy that much more real though, William and Kate hit the halfway-mark fairly easily. A fellow tourist revealed:

"They were pretty altogether. There wasn't a single trail of sweat. They stopped to talk to us for three to five minutes and were absolutely charming."

Well, damn!

And upon finishing their trek, the royal parents reflected on their week-long trip to India and Bhutan, adding they've been missing their little ones, Prince George and Princess Charlotte:

"Massively yes, of course. And we're looking forward to seeing them. They're in good hands."

They even hope to bring them along on the hike sometime in the future when "they're a little bit more mobile," shared Kate.

Thankfully for them, the charming couple have been able to get in touch with their adorable kiddos "many times" on their trip.

Well hopefully they really can all come back as a family one day!

How precious would that be?

Kate Middleton and Drew Barrymore wear same dress.

Style twins!!!

If we ever wore the same outfit as Kate Middleton ON THE SAME DAY, we'd feel so boss.

We can only hope Drew Barrymore feels like a badass after seeing that she has impeccable fashion taste just like the Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Go On Safari Just Before 6.9-Magnitude Earthquake Hits India

| Filed under: Kate MiddletonPrince WilliamScary!TravelPrince GeorgePrincess Charlotte

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton and Prince William's trip abroad got a little scary on Wednesday night when a strong 6.9-magnitude earthquake was felt in parts of eastern India.

According to reports, tremors were felt in the states of Assam, including Kaziranga National Park, where William and Kate visited on Wednesday while learning about conservation efforts.

A palace spokesman assured:

"Tremors were felt across the region. Everyone is okay."

Well that's a relief!

As for their safari excursion earlier in the day, the duo explored the 185-square-mile park while soaking in information about the successfully growing rhino population.

The 33-year-old Duke of Cambridge is notoriously passionate about efforts being made to curb poaching — so this was a particularly special part of their tour of India.

But it wasn't all serious business though, Princess Charlotte and Prince George's parents got to cruise around in a Jeep, play with rhinos, and feed the elephants.

At least it sounds like they had a good day before their scare later that night!

Next up, off to Bhutan on Thursday morning…

Here's to no more earthquakes!
