To honor the great Nelson Mandela, a man whom we've just learned has sadly passed away, Kate Middleton and Prince William put on their fanciest clothes to attend the premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom in London.
The Duchess looked absolutely stunning in a recycled cream Roland Mouret long-sleeved gown with a short slit that showed off her royal calves, and she paired the exquisite number with a silver necklace from Zara.
Talk about high-low — that necklace is gonna fly off shelves.
Black Prada pumps and a Mulberry clutch matched the black velvet sash in her ponytail and put the perfect finishing touch on her look!
And, obvi, Prince William looked dashing as always. We didn't forget him!
Both royals sincerely stunned while paying homage to a man who impacted the world in so many ways we can't even begin to express our gratitude for.

Princess Diana's style icon status lives on!
The late royal's fairy tale-inspired ball gown from 1986 was auctioned off yesterday at the Kelly Taylor Auction House in London for approximately $163,000!
The dress, designed by the Princess's wedding dress designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, features a peplum accent and ornate gold embellishments throughout, and was purchased by an unknown museum.
Diana wore the dress on several occasions, including a banquet at the German Embassy in London in honor of Queen Elizabeth II and at the premiere of the Bolshoi Ballet's Ivan the Terrible at the Royal Opera House.
She wore it a third time at the premiere of the James Bond film The Living Daylights in 1987. We love that she recycled her outfits just like Kate Middleton does now!

Reminding the world that she has access to the Queen of England's jewels, Kate Middleton donned a sparkling diamond tiara to an event at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
The crown, called the Lotus Flower Tiara or the Papyrus Tiara, was originally given to the Queen Mother by her husband George VI, and was made from a necklace she had received as a wedding gift.
Kate paired the shimmering piece with diamond chandelier earrings borrowed from the Queen and a high-neck, lace Alexander McQueen dress.
Oh, to be a duchess!

People are gonna line up around the Palace for this job opening! LOLz!
Kate Middleton's hairstylist James Pryce — the man who styled her hair for her wedding and the following tour of North America — has reportedly been fired for publicizing his relationship with the Duchess!
A source revealed:
Kate Middleton is probably the best royal clothing recycler in the whole world!
And we love her for it! When so many celebrities only wear an outfit once and then return it to the designer, it's always nice to see a figure in the public eye do the opposite.
At a special charity event for Only Connect in London on Tuesday, Kate put on her print Orla Kiely dress that she also wore to The Art Room back in February 2012.
Pairing it with brown stockings and brown suede Aquatalia ankle boots, the Duchess managed to pull off chic and well-protected from the chilly London weather all at once.
As for accessories, she also re-wore her KiKi McDonough pear drop earrings, and it should be noted that Prince William looked as handsome as always in a dark blue suit and purple tie.
He deserves props, too! His gorgeous wifey can't have all the glory! Ha!

BREAKING NEWS! Kate Middleton trimmed her hair!
The Duchess of Cambridge naturally made an appearance at London's Remembrance Day services on Sunday, honoring military members who died in combat.
Kate was dressed somberly in a navy blue Temperley London coat featuring a geometrical pattern along the bodice and a bedazzled Buckley poppy brooch on her lapel.
A Sylvia Fletcher for Lock and Co. fascinator sat pretty atop her head, and the 31-year-old also pulled on a pair of Cornelia James gloves to stay warm in the chilly London morning.
Her brunette tresses were noticeably shorter than the last time we saw them, but no less beautiful!
Always flawless, always fabulous! That's our Kate!

Someone's been moisturizing her hair!
Kate Middleton's locks looked shinier than usual (which is really saying something) during Poppy Day activities in London on Wednesday.
The Duchess' sleek curls will no doubt be copied all over the world after this outing, as will her red LK Bennett coat.
The belted wool number covered Kate from neck to just below the knee, and contrasted nicely with her opaque black tights and suede pumps.
A poppy brooch pinned to her lapel completed the look.
Fab, of course! Do they make Kate Middleton wigs? Ha!
