What a relief!
On Tuesday night, her team shared the update:
"We are happy to let you know that Sandra Lee is out of surgery. The operation took more than two hours, and Sandra is resting in post-op. Governor Cuomo remains with Sandra in the recovery room, as her anesthesia subsides."
Hopefully her infection is no longer an issue now!
Especially since Sandra's been through a lot in the past few months. She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in March and underwent her first surgery in May.
But her team also continued:
The TV chef was diagnosed with cancer back in March, and underwent the procedure in May. But now, she has to go under the knife once again.
The 49-year-old took to Facebook to announce that she will have surgery on Tuesday, explaining that she's experiencing issues with infection:
"Andrew and I have decided that tomorrow I will go back into surgery. I did my very best to avoid this (when I tell you I did everything, I mean everything — modern, Eastern and holistic) but infection is an incredible monster. I am a long way from where I was and a long way from where I need to be, but at this point I understand that right now I just need to complete this unexpected phase of a tough journey."
She then went on to compare her battle with cancer to a tennis match, posting a positive perspective about the upcoming operation:
Reportedly, TV chef Sandra Lee was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night for complications relating to her recent mastectomy.
The Food Network star had a double mastectomy back in May following her March breast cancer diagnosis.
It's said that the blonde beauty was both conscious and alert as she was being taken to the hospital. Apparently, the problem was that there was a painful buildup of fluid in her chest area. Yikes!
However, Miz Lee will be monitored by doctors for the next few days. We're hoping that the situation doesn't take a more serious turn.
As for Sandra's longtime love, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, it's said that he left a Billy Joel concert and rushed to be at his GF's bedside. We can only imagine how scary that was for the politician.
Neither party has yet to comment on the incident.
Our thoughts are with Sandra and her loved ones during this time. Feel better soon, m'kay?!

Sandra Lee deserves some rest.
Now, she's having some much needed R&R, relaxing at home with her boyfriend, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
She posted this photo to Facebook (above) of their calm Memorial Day, lounging around with her parrot. She captioned the sweet snap:
"Home after a long week in the hospital, so happy to be in my own backyard. There is no place like home!"
Earlier on Monday, her team shared a photo stressing how excited she was to leave the hospital and head home!
We're happy that Sandra is doing so well after her surgery, and we wish her the speediest recovery!

She took to Facebook and explained:
Though it hasn't been an easy journey for the TV personality, she has turned her own battle into a platform for early detection awareness.
Fierce! Remember ladies, it's never too early to have a mammogram!
Nonetheless, Sandra's longtime love and N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo has vowed to be by the blonde beauty's side.
Thankfully Sandra Lee is a stickler for routine mammograms, otherwise her doctors could've detected the breast cancer a little too late.
The celebrity chef opened up on Tuesday morning to Good Morning America and revealed she was shocked after hearing the cancer news:
"Life can turn on a dime."
About two months after being diagnosed with cancer in her right breast, Sandra shared she will be undergoing a double mastectomy to avoid going through radiation.
Her reasoning for it:
