After turning heads in that showstopping Giles number at the Met Gala, Sarah Jessica Parker went for a more simple approach on Wednesday night.

The actress attended the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner in New York City wearing a lovely, lavender Alexandra New York vintage floral dress with her ombre waves rippling down her shoulder.

Though her frock was understated, SJP went heavy on the accessories, wearing Fred Leighton earrings, a Repossi turquoise ring, and a Fendi ring and cuff.

Pale pink Roger Vivier pumps rounded out the ensem.

It's not exactly a groundbreaking look, but it is beautiful and appropriate for the event.

The Met Gala came and went in a whirlwind of fashion activity on Monday night!

We had the good and the bad, but we also had some conspicuous trends.

That quintessential punk staple — the safety pin — found its way onto Carey Mulligan's dress and Zooey Deschanel's clutch.

Paloma Faith, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Katy Perry rocked the headpieces, which was a golden crown in Katy's case!

Paloma also got on the gloved-sleeve trend along with Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Kerry Washington.

Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Cara Delevingne and January Jones were all rocking some major ear bling and cuffs while Jessica Biel and Karen Elson opted for small little septum rings.

Quite a few lovely ladies showed off the fruits of their workout regimes in belly-baring numbers, like Gwen Stefani, Olivia Wilde, Nicki Minaj, and Miranda Kerr.

Then there were the rebels, like Anna Wintour and new bestie Kimmy, who wore very non-punk floral gowns.

Maybe they were the most punk of all! LOLz!

Sarah Jessica Parker stayed true to her Carrie Bradshaw roots and went above and beyond in the name of fashion.

We know the Met Gala theme was punk, but SJP took it and threw a little extra glamour in the mix with her Giles Deacon gown costume.

Rock that Philip Treacy headdress, gurl! It's kinda like the metaphorical HBO crown you wear every day.

After giving us some questionable looks recently, Sarah Jessica Parker has redeemed herself!

The actress looked fun and trendy at AOL Digital Content NewFront in NYC on Tuesday in an embroidered white v-neck dress with pockets.

So fresh!

Sometimes a LWB (little white dress) is more appropriate than an LBD!

A green jeweled statement necklace and Manolo Blahnik pumps perfected the get-up.

It must've been cold at the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball in NYC on Thursday because Sarah Jessica Parker simply would not part with her Yeojin Bae blazer.

We would've appreciated a good look at her gold lame, vintage Vicky Tiel gown!

This is the second time this week she's refused to take off her coat on the red carpet, and we are not impressed.

Tiffany & Co. baubles and clutch, and a bouncy, glossy hairdo completed her look.

We're definitely ready for something new from SJP.

Sarah Jessica Parker flew all the way to Italy to attend the Calzedonia Show Forever Together event on Tuesday, and wore this boring outfit.

You'd think an overseas flight would warrant putting more energy into an ensem!

Alas, SJP thrust a drab dark green coat and very plain gray dress upon us.

Though the actress attempted to spice things up with lace tights and cobalt blue pumps, there was just no saving this get-up.
