Plane crash survivor Travis Barker will be home in LA soon and his ex-wife Shanna Moakler is committed to seeing him through his difficult recovery.

Travis is making the long journey back to Los Angeles from the Georgia burn center via bus.

An insider reveals, "Trust me, [Travis] will never fly again – ever."

You can't blame the poor guy.

A 'friend' close to the couple revealed, "She (Shanna) is so devoted to him [and] he appreciates it so much. She's sticking by him. She is with him. Despite everything that's happened to them, they love each other."

As for Travis' health, he's supposedly "not in good shape" and everything is still very "serious".

He'll continue to receive treatment at an LA center.

Currently by Travis Barker's side, his ex-wife and on-again girlfriend, Shanna Moakler, has released a statement about the horrific plane crash the drummer and pal DJ A.M. were in this past weekend, which saw four people tragically die - including Barker's assistant and bodyguard.

Says Moakler:

"There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this very difficult time. We can only ask for prayers as we heal and mourn the loss of our dear friends who we considered part of our family. Our lives will be changed forever."

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that things got rather heated Sunday at a barbecue held by Carmen Electra at the DKNY Jeans Beach House in Malibu, CA.
