SeaWorld Is Finally Phasing Out Their Orca Shows! But Was This Their Decision Or The Law Forcing Their Hand..?

According to an investor's webcast that took place on Monday afternoon, SeaWorld is phasing out their orca shows at their San Diego location after guests responded strongly over the past several years.

An unnamed park representative, speaking on the webcast for investors, said of the decision to cut back on the park's killer whale shows:

"The main point is we are listening to our guests. We are evolving as a company, we are always changing."

While the park can say they are listening to their guests, this news may actually be in direct response to recent changes of the law in California.

This is so scary!

Jill Kruse was visiting Cocoa Beach in Brevard County, Florida with her family on Sunday when she was attacked by a shark!

The 28-year-old had only been at the beach for 10 minutes and was only waist-deep in the Atlantic Ocean when she was bitten.

The shark latched on to her leg and angle and initially refused to let go — until Kruse punched it in the head, allowing her to wrestle free from the predator's grasp.

Holly Peterson, who witnessed the event, said it was horrifying hearing Jill's screams:

This is cray cray!!

Off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts this week, scientists tracking sea creatures caught incredible footage of a great white shark attacking a seal — but this time the seal very narrowly escapes with its life!

In the video, the seal has to resort to drastic measures to get away from the behemoth shark. The way it goes down, well, the seal decides to go UP!!

Pro surfer Mick Fanning was the subject of international news recently when he withstood a shark, uhh, saying hello to him during a pro surfing competition in South Africa.

Oh hell no!

That's the official moniker for Syfy's latest film, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, and probably also what TV executives are saying today after getting the Nielsen ratings back from the Wednesday night showing!

Sharknado 3 brought in 2.8 million viewers for the special — which sounds good enough until you remember that Sharknado 2 brought in more than a million more than that when it premiered. Ouch!

The Wednesday night third installment of the franchise scored a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 age demographic, which basically means
