Stopping by Tuesday's Ellen, Mendes said that it's nice to look back on his old videos to remind himself where he came from — which was also the theme of his new Toronto-inspired tattoo!
The singer showed off his recently inked forearm, which was the Toronto skyline made to look like a shadowed guitar. The pop star explained that the middle part of the tattoo is connected by a sound wave of his family saying "I love you."
So sweet! Ch-ch-check out the clip (below) to hear Shawn talk about tats, touring, and memories!
After calling out the host for giving him a late cue to start singing, Mendes attempted to continue bantering with the host, but it didn't come off very charming since the singer basically just kept making fun of Jimmy for being old!
Fallon played along at first, but let Mendes experience some awkward silences when some of his "burns" didn't land with the audience towards the end.
At least Shawn made up for it with an epic performance of Mercy afterwards! Ch-ch-check out both clips (below)!
On Wednesday, the Canadian crooner dropped the music video for his new single Mercy, and it's suuuuuuuuuper dramatic. The 18-year-old's songs may all sound pretty much the same, but he's certainly switching things up in this visual.
Although the 36-year-old celebrated her birthday privately over the weekend, she did make several public appearances this week: once getting froyo with Jonathan Cheban on Monday, followed by two trips to Kanye West's performances at The Forum both Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
