What a wild story!
Reese Witherspoon made headlines in late 2014/early 2015 when she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for her work in Wild.
Well, it seems as though her movie is getting even more press now… but not for any reason you'd probably think.
In the film, which is inspired by Cheryl Strayed's journey down the Pacific Crest Trail, Reese gets so worked up that she removes her boots and throws them over a cliff.
While Reese did keep a pair of the boots for herself after production wrapped — there were a lot of pairs designed, each in different stages of distress — we would have thought the props department would have tried to get the lone shoe back.

But apparently not, because a hiker named Chris Kesting just found the boot during a stroll nearly two years after it was thrown into the middle of nowhere!
What a strange world we live in. LOLZ!
Cheryl herself confirmed that the retrieved boot was the same custom Danner creation as the one in the movie, so we guess Chris probably walked away with the best prop from the film.
He could sell that online for a lot of money. Just sayin'.
