According to the Nassau County SPCA, workers were called to a home on Tuesday when neighbors reported strange smells and noises coming from the house… only to find hundreds of birds, turtles, and other pets and wildlife left to die.
Apparently, home owner Gary Gruber had become too old to take care of the animals himself, and despite his best efforts, the creatures were living inside feces-encrusted cages that took eight hours to clean.
Of the 400+ animals found, authorities identified 251 birds, 151 turtles, four reptiles and a dozen mammals — including rabbits, prairie dogs, a chinchilla, a skunk, and even African Grey parrots and other endangered tortoise species!
This news comes less than a year after Gary was cited for keeping a 4-foot long alligator in his home… but for some reason, he was allowed to keep his six cats and dogs despite potentially facing animal cruelty charges.
Thankfully, the birds and turtles have been taken to a wildlife sanctuary in Long Island.
Nick Cannon came out to NBCUniversal’s Summer Press Day in Pasadena on Tuesday with a whole new punk skunk-inspired look!
We wish we were kidding, but the America’s Got Talent host even posted a pic to Instagram yesterday with the caption:
"We want the Skunk!!! #ncredible #OnMyCrazyShit #EnglishPunkRock80sFlow"
Oh boy. Where to start?
Nick definitely seemed to be sporting a more formal punk ensem, especially with the Dr. Martens, except we can’t help but think of how he’s following in Pharrell’s footsteps. After all, the Happy singer brought back the formal cutoffs not too long ago at the Oscars!
Guess Nick just wanted to cement the trend with his unforgettable black and white outfit! Though we liked it better when the animated skunk Pepe Le Pew did it.
The reality star spoke to Andy Cohen at a Sirius XM Town Hall interview on Wednesday, and once again she was not afraid to say exactly how she felt about everything -- including her certainty about the O.J. Simpson case. She explained:
"I knew he did it. There was three people at the crime scene. DNA evidence, three people at the crime scene. Pick a murderer. How hard is that?"
But Cait wasn't just giving her own opinion this time.
The former Olympian went on to talk once again about her friendship with Robert Kardashian, who she now says was ALSO guilty -- that is, he felt enormously guilty about getting a murderer off! She recounted:
